The food is super authentic. My husband and I are also from NYC (jackson heights /astoria) and 1st generation from ecuadorian and brazilian parents.

Let me start off to say the prices are very reasonable for the quality and size of the plates. We ordered two entrees, two juices and a soda. The bill came out to 70. For the person who thought 100 was unreasonable for 2 people clearly was expecting low quality or fast food.

I would be coming back more to support this restuarant because the food has been absolutely amazing. Its very hard to find good latin food in columbus.

I dine out all over the globe regularly as a diplomat and I have to say that I was SHOCKED by the bill I received from this tiny establishment tucked into a nondescript stretch of local street in Columbus. I came here with my 12 year old yesterday and this was our order:

2 empanadas
2 bebidas (one was a soda)
NO DESSERT
Two entrees.

100.00 for the bill. 5 twenty dollar bills.

I am a New Yorker and in Astoria or NYC, the bill would have been half that or less.
This was outrageous.
The portions are not too large or too small.
The flavors are good but I have had better Ecuadorian food in large cities like NYC or SF or LA or Vegas.
I went to Fogo De Chao in Columbus last week and the bill was the SAME for 2 people with unlimited nonalcoholic drinks, unlimited cuts of various beef, chicken, pork and unlimited buffet table.
They also overcharged me with my kid's meal of shrimp and tostones with rice. 30.00 when I saw it was 24.00 on the menu. The ceviches for my entree tasted very very fishy and ocean-like which I personally do not enjoy.
with these kinds of prices I would have rather gone back to the Brazilian steakhouse. These guys at Los Galapogos are NOT paying rental fees that are that high so why the hike in prices? 100.00 for two people to eat at a small taqueria or paladar is OUTRAGEOUS.

Food is expensive and it has no taste.
Service needs improvement. They take too long to take the food order. I was about to leave when they decided to come to my table. If it wasn't for my husband I would have left.
Atmosphere for me, it wasn't friendly
Finding parking is awful. Unfortunately I will not be going back.

The food wasn’t bad, but it had nothing to do with authentic Ecuadorian flavor. The dishes were very overpriced for the place, the atmosphere, the location, and the service — it was extremely expensive. On top of that, there’s no parking available and the place is very small. 😩😩
