October-Tuesday evening. I ordered sesame chicken, my husband ordered sweet and sour chicken. We also ordered a spring roll and an egg roll.

This is the worst “Chinese” food I have ever had.
Both meals contained chicken pieces that were HEAVILY breaded. I’m not sure if the tough, dry chicken was over cooked, of very low quality
Or both. The sauces that covered the chicken tasted as if they were of a bottled variety.

The fried rice we were given was not the golden, fluffy rice with lots of peas and carrots featured in their online photograph. It was a sticky rice covered in some type of brown sauce. Awful

Because our order was takeout, we did not realize that the food was of such low quality or we would have returned it. Besides, I would have had to ask for a refund because I will never order food from this restaurant again. Hard Pass.

It’s a shame this place used to be really good but under the new ownership everything is more expensive and the portions have gone done. Doesn’t taste the same anymore

Also no more honey chicken which is a crime

They need to remove reviews when a new owner takes over the restaurant from before to now does not match this place sadly in worthington. My portion was absolutely disgusting for the price compaired to what they use to be. To make matters worse I received a smaller portion back a second time the food was not fresh for one dish and the fried rice is literally white rice with soy sauce nothing to it no egg onions love of any kind. This place will not last if it keeps raising up its prices and serving children's portions as family sized we had to order from a second restaurant to feed our family 28 dollars lost please save your money and eat elsewhere where they still treat you right the people behind us went through the same thing disappointed in every way it was within walking distance the staff was just as bad as the food and prices

** New ownership 07/31/24 **
We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

PRE new ownership - Food is good and consistent, service is always great. The place could do for a make over as the place seems like it has stayed the same for many many years. But on that note, the prices are super cheap.

Had a very nice lunch at Lotus Grill. The General Tso's chicken was very good and the accompaning fried rice was excellent. The food has a very authentic flavor. The atmosphere is a bit lacking, but I came fir the food and I was well satisfied with that. The service was quick, friendly and courteous.

Lotus Grill has been a go-to for some time now. We were concerned when we found out that there has been a change in owner, but decided to give it a try.

Unfortunately, it seems they decided to change all of their recipes and also significantly increased their prices. Nothing tasted the same. Lotus Grill was the home of the greatest egg roll, but that is not the case anymore. Idk why they decided to keep the name when they changed everything else ?‍♀️

I was so happy when Lotus Grill reopened after being temporarily closed. This has been my go to place for years. I have raved about this place to family and friends. Upon entering I noticed the change of decoration and staff no flags yet. Prices were higher but hey I'd pay it for the food I've loved for YEARS. Half a flag. The portions seemed smaller huge read flag. I'm used to being able to eat off o Lotus Grill meal for 2 days. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Got home opened our dinner and was immediately concerned a different recipe, egg roll/spring rolls not the same, another red flag. The food was bland, vegetables squishy not the full flavor crisp veggies We are used to. The food was incredible gross. I've had better food/portion/value at New China or Mark Pi's Express. Do yourself a favor and don"t eat here. It pains me to say the new management/recipes will be the undoing of this once great place.
