Could not find the place. At all. Called the number and they hang up on my when I ask for the location. There was some other place where this one supose to be. May be closed. Not sure. Want it to go so bad but I guess I just waste my time. Drove 40 min to get there for nothing.

Talk about hole in the wall. I'm sure you hear that term all the time, and with lous fresh flavor there is no exception. It is literally a hole in the wall (see pic). Located in Franklinton near the library, its neighbors with red door bbq. The set set up is quite interesting. It's a walk up window. You walk up, look in and you'll see a large kitchen. You'll immediately know this place is the real deal because theres nothing fancy about it. A large kitchen that looks like mine or yours but bigger, with maybe 2 staff members. The menu is simple. They have some apps and platters. I reccomend going early. I went at 12 and the papas I've heard so much about were gone. They open at 11.....Service is great. I greeted with a smile and all of the questions were answered. I ended up ordering the pork platter. It comes with the most amazingly seasoned pulled pork piled on top of yellow rice with a side of red beans, a salad, and your choice of a side. My side was the fried green plantains but they have the sweet ones too. The drinks were those famous banana and guava juices, you've probably seen them at Kroger. Everything was outstanding. I definitely want to go back for a papa, I've heard so many good things about them. None the less, if you're looking to try something new, head over to Lous. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing Puerto Rican food! The chicken was on point and the rice and beans was beyond flavorful. The side salad was okay and the fried plantains were cooked perfectly. The owner was friendly and inviting. Cant wait to go back and try more of their menu. Gracias por todo!!!

I enjoyed the flavor, large portion and the fact that there's finally a great Puerto Rican food option in town because after all it is the best!!!

Only reason I'm giving it five stars is because I can't give it six.

I don't think I need to write about Lou's because the pictures speak the flavor for themselves.

I just had the chicken empanada. Excellent! Not greasy. Chicken perfectly seasoned - not too salty. Also had black beans and yellow rice. The rice was to die for. There are so many things I want to try on the menu Lou is super nice and committed to producing good food
