My favorite local restaurant always has a fresh menu, menu is always changing, service is excellent, big shout out to locally owned, culinary driven dining experience. We need more places like this in Columbus.
I'm very disappointed in the menu change. We went to Lupo with the old menu in mind (more Spanish and Mediterranean Tapas-like items) and unfortunately found out that Lupo has a new chef and a new type of cuisine. Two of the items were really good (croquettes and octopus tacos), but the mixed salad was terrible! The chipotle dressing was so overpowering (spicy) that it was hard to enjoy the other flavors in the salad. The server was kind enough to ask the chef to prepare a less spicy dressing and brought that out with another salad. However, that also took a long time. I'm used to eating spicy food, but this was way too spicy for a salad. It also seemed that the restaurant was understaffed on the weekend night we visited and consequently, the service was only fair. We had reservations and there was no line when we arrived, but we were told by four different people we would be helped soon. It took 20 minutes to get our beverages. I loved the "old" Lupo, but sadly I don't think I'll be returning.
My wife and I have been going to the restaurant for many years and have enjoyed everything about it. This time we were shocked to find out the previous years menu had been totally changed. The restaurant decided to venture in being a quasi Mexican restaurant as far as the menu was concerned. The elimination of small plates/tapas was a big mistake in my opinion. If I wanted Mexican, I would've went to a Mexican restaurant. On a good note the food was very good except for what they called refried beans. They need to really rethink that they were terrible. As the old saying says if it's not broken, don't fix it
The new menu is very different. Most flavors are bland which is unusual for Mexican food. The jam served with bread was low on flavor. The salad dressing on the watermelon salad had no real flavor either. The enchiladas looked delicious but again, very bland. Very surprising. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The outdoor patio is beautiful and lovely. Too bad the food is not equal to the staff and ambiance.
The menu has dramatically changed. It was good but I'm just not sure how I feel yet because I really loved the Spanish Mediterranean tapas.
This was our first experience at Lupo. All the food was very good. I highly recommend the octopus dish. The gelato was homemade and very good as well.
Creative cocktails, nice wine list, outside dining was perfect, yesterday, and very good food. I feel like there are feeer small plates than before, but may br wrong. The greater number of entres will be welcome to many. And, as always, wait staff is great.
Superb menu that is original and delicious. Great service such a delightful experience each time.
Dining with my wife we sat on the patio for dinner. We started with drinks, my wife having a glass of wine and I ordered a Kettle One and tonic in a tall glass. Wine was fine but v&t came in a rocks glass and tasted like water with a splash of vodka. Sent it back and still got a rocks glass but with decent tonic but light on the vodka. Started with the strawberry guacamole appetizer. Nice flavor and reasonable portion. Next we both had the “Caesar Salad” made with Poblano dressing. Just because you put romaine and parmesan in a salad doesn't make it a Caesar salad! The overpowering cumin laced dressing made this a taco salad at best. Then we had two shareables. The garlic shrimp was just OK but lacked flavor overall. The beef and lamb stuffed taquitos were good and likely the best dish we had. We have been to Lupo several times over the years but this time I found the menu uninspiring and it will be a while before we return if ever.
New menu was rather subpar. And they ran out of our favorite dishes. Normally 5/5, but this experience was definitely not as good.

Outstanding food and service start to finish. Not overly busy for a Saturday night. Great vibe and comfortable seating.
Our server Zach was excellent and guided our choices skillfully. Food and drink were all amazing.
This restaurant is a hidden gem and a must try in Columbus. This is a top 10 restaurant in Columbus. The food is excellent , well prepared and very fresh. The many unique flavors in each selection we tried were mind blowing. The wait staff is best in class and very attentive. I highly recommend and can't wait to come back!!
Great tapas and cocktails. I had the Guava-mosa which was pretty and delicious. Shared the poblano Caesar salad, cod tacos, and lamb and short rib flautas. All tasty! Save room for dessert. Banoffe cheesecake was delish! Can't wait to go back.
Pros: The food (and we ordered A LOT!) and service were absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, some of the best in the entire city! Cons: It was pretty cold inside and I have an issue when places charge for bread (especially when your sister restaurant serves the same bread and doesn't charge - as they shouldn't). Lastly, picking nits, because we will definitely return, but the music was a little odd... alternating between like Khruangbin and 90's EDM.
