Really very good place for pizza, one of the best pizza I ever had till now. The crust is soft but also crunchy, also the cheesy bread is so good its fluffy and light. I just lave the taste and texture of the food there. It's just tooo yummyyy.
Vegetarian options: They have many veg options also.
Kid-friendliness: Kids also enjoy the food and environment theree
Parking: They have parking infront of the store itself
Two years ago I left a review about getting hair baked into our food, and items missing... Sadly they haven't improved since. If you have dietary restriction/food allergies I'd avoid this place. They are BAD about cross contamination. (This isn't the first time we've received a pizza with random items from them)Here's the pizza I received today, this pizza has a random bell pepper, and a random banana pepper. It also has toppings missing. My significant other had a single piece of their "gluten free" pizza and had a reaction to it..Didn't eat enough this time to see if there was a hair again lol but definitely don't plan on giving them any more chances.
Very busy and popular but pizza is average. Not better than typical carry out. Toppings are extra large or whole pieces of items like bacon or ham. Not easy to eat as the whole thing slides off when you take a bite. You need a knife and fork which defeats the purpose of a regular slice of pizza. Pretzel bites are not pretzels, they are pizza dough. Servers are not attentive because they are overwhelmed with the crowd at dinner. Would not go back.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a pizza joint
Parking: On site lot free
Our waitress Mackenzie was very helpful and kind. It was our 1st time there. So we ordered a mushroom pizza. It was wonderful. As well as pretzel bites, the wife loved the beer cheese, I preferred the red sauce. We also ordered a calzone with sausage, it was wonderful as well. We plan on coming again.
Can’t say anything about the food as we walked out after an hour of waiting for drinks and to order our dinner. Bathroom was dirty.
Sooo good, this is one of our favorite pizza joints. When traveling we always look for Mellow Mushroom and enjoy experiencing how differently designed/decorated all the locations are. You definitely get a funky cool vibe and the food is delicious. Their Greek salad... is SO good, we love their Parmesan pretzels with marinara, and of course we get pizzas. My husband loves their version of a Hawaiian pizza and I create my own with the 3 types of olives (don't knock it till you try it). We always leave full with a box in tow. What better thing for breakfast than leftover pizza?!?!
I was in town for work and stopped by for dinner. It has a really interesting atmosphere if you are into the hippie vibe. We got there during Happy Hour so there were 1/2 off apps and beer specials. I had the Pacific Rim pizza. The small size was plenty and I had some left over for lunch. The crust is nice combination of a little chewy with some crunch on the outside. The toppings were a good combination of sweet, spicy, and salty with the pineapple, jalapeno, and ham and bacon. Each bite had something different. I would definitely go back again.
I normally don’t do bad reviews because people have ups and downs but in this case my family and I were so upset with the service of McKenzie our waitress we had to leave this review. We came in at 5.35 pm it took her 15 minutes to acknowledge us and take our drink orders , 10 minutes to deliver the sodas to my kids and 34 minutes to deliver a strawberry lemonade ( it sat so long that the ice was almost all melted ) . At 6.18 pm we received out pizza and wings we assumed it would be piping hot and delicious, but it was cold … we asked for the order to go because at this point we just wanted to go home. At this point she proceeded to slam the check down on the table . 10 minutes pass by no McKenzie. I decided to walk up to the to go counter and pay and was greeted with a smirk and attitude ( if I could have given a negative tip I would ). To the owners maybe some coaching would go a long way, we frequent the New Albany location and we will stay at the one where I have never had these issues.
Everything was wonderful and food was amazing
I love the food, beer menu, atmosphere, and staff. Management, however, needs to step up and actually properly staff the place. None of this "nobody wants to work" garbage. Maybe pay a living wage.I will say our server was incredible and I left a big tip because it's not his fault there wasn't enough help.

I do have to say we really like Mellow Mushroom and are always happy with our food. However the service was horribly slow. There were 2 waitresses with only 4 tables with customers. Our waitress was very pleasant but, we had to wait to place our order, and took quite a while to get a pizza. Wait again to get a box for take home then wait to get our check.
Second time I've eaten there. The first time I was there with friends and was not impressed but went a second time because my family wanted to to try it. We had 3 different pizzas and none were really that good. I realize it is quite a popular place but I guess we all have different tastes.
Fun atmosphere and good food and drinks . Bartenders are great
I've called twice on two different occasions and drove there too. Well before closing time of 9:00pm. Hung up on and doors locked. Don't know how a business stays in business when they keep closing EARLY.IF YOU CLOSE AT 8:00 OR 8:30 PM...THEN UPDATE GOOGLE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW BEFORE THEY DRIVE IN THE POURING RAIN TO FIND OUT WHAT'S UP! I'm less than 10 min away and started calling at 8:20 pm. It has taken me 10 min to type this while employees sit and dance around the bar with the doors locked during open hours. Unprofessional no matter how good the product might be. We were first time customers!
Outside of their create-your-own pizzas (plus a couple of salads and a tempeh hoagie), they don’t offer much in the way of vegan options. For starters, go for the pretzel bites (minus the cheese and garlic butter!). For pizza, they offer tofu and tempeh toppings (with the option to be prepared in a variety of sauces), a vegan cheese option, and other unconventional veggie toppings like avocado.
