Been here many times and it's definitely an interesting menu. So many takes on the grilled cheese Sammy that it will make your head spin. They do give a lot of food on your plate for sure. Overall I have been disappointed several times with the food quality and the atmosphere last time was loud. Price points were also a tad high for the quality on the plate.

The good: The server was nice, the atmosphere was good, my beer was cold.The bad: I understand they wanted the menu to be cute and fun, but I found it very confusing. The server really had to explain it, and I still didn't think it was straight forward. OK, it's sandwiches. I got a whole fish sandwich with fries ($17.50), which took a while to come out of the kitchen. The fries were lukewarm at best, and I only ate half of what I would say was not very good. My wife only ate half of her mushroom sandwich as well. I found nothing special about the place in general, it's overpriced and I will not return.

Melt is gonna get 5 stars every time period! Everything here is soooo good. Had the French toast frilled cheese and the chicken bacon ranch macaroni. Lawd. It was amazing lol and our server was so nice! She kept coming and making sure we were okay. Would give this place 20 stars if i could for sure

Yes this place is pricey and can be noisy inside but its well worth it. From the gentleman that answered my call about how busy they were and replying "Look forward to seeing you", to our server Carter who was very patient with us, Melt is a fun and tasty place to visit. They have lots of gluten free and veggie/vegan options which are great for our family. This is full on comfort food. I went for a sandwich and fries. My food was served very hot and pretty fast, (under 20 min). Carter checked on us regularly and took care of to-go boxes and the check when we were done.Might not be the best place for little kids, (its in the short north and can be busy, with lots of tv's and loud music) and parking is terrible, (it will take some circling to find a spot).All that aside, I still recommend this restaurant. You will be full when you leave!

Had a great visit! Very kid friendly, the food is amazing, and they have a great drink selection! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, it’s a must visit here in Columbus and in the Short North area.

We had a great experience at Melt in the Short North! Our party of 8 had reservations on a Saturday night and were seated right away. I ordered a drink first, the Electric Blueberry Lemonade, which was very delicious. Many of our group ordered half sandwiches with sides and everyone enjoyed their order. I ordered the chorizo and potato grilled cheese and really liked it! There was plenty of the chorizo and potatoes so some was falling out the half sandwich. I had ordered mac and cheese as my side which was also delicious (even reheated the next day as leftovers). While parking in the Short North can be a pain I think visiting Melt is worth it! Tip: friend street parking if possible, it's a few dollars/hour. Our party of 8 was finished in about an hour.

My wife and I tried Melt on Sunday April 3rd for the first time. Our server was a young man named Anthony and he could not have been any nicer. He took the time to explain clearly a half inch menu with incredible options for sandwich building. He suggested his favorites and made us very comfortable. The food was pricey but well worth it. Taste and quantity were both beyond what we expected. I rarely bring home food but I could not finish my burger. It was a great experience and it has a terrific atmosphere. The entire staff were friendly and efficient and seemed to work together very well.

My husband and I came here for dinner while visiting Columbus, and we really enjoyed it! Part of the reason we came is because they have an extensive Vegan and allergy friendly menu. Though not Vegan, I have a Dairy and Egg allergy. So whenever Vegan options are available, it’s a safe choice for me. The server we had was really helpful, I let her know about my allergy and she had lots of suggestions for us to try. I ordered a Reuben and just wanted the Vegan cheese, etc. they double checked before bringing me my food that I didn’t need the entire thing to be Vegan, just the cheese and such which was nice, and it was delicious! Honestly couldn’t tell it wasn’t real cheese. The restaurant itself has a quirky, fun vibe. We would definitely come back!

Excellent take if you're in the area. Solid casual lunch with the most unique menu. From starters to drinks to entrees they offer a ton. It's a bit trendy for the day to day crowd. But comfortable enough to serve an older crowd or family easily. They have a fairly stocked bar with an obnoxious offering of local craft beers. Service was attentive and food was excellent. Minus 1 star due to price and geography. There is no convenient parking unless you plan to walk a bit. Nice weather day walking about? Perfect. 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'll return definitely on a warmer day.

Ordered over the phone today around 2. Was told they were out of sauerkraut, so certain sandwiches were not available. I asked the staff member if specific sandwich had sauerkraut on it, was placed on hold and then told it did not. Once I went to pick up my order, the person at the desk found that my order was taken down but they forgot to place it (almost 25 minutes after I called). I had to wait for them to place and make the order, and then found that the sandwiches I ordered actually were supposed to have sauerkraut but didn't and the staff member I talked to didn't give me accurate info. Very disappointed, this place is not cheap and the pickup staff completely dropped the ball today. Generally evening staff here is really great but I'm really disappointed payed for incomplete sandwiches because the host (or whoever took my order) at 2pm was completely incompetent. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going here during a weekday, but evenings are generally very good.
