I had an amazing meal at New York Halal Gyro! The food was fresh, flavorful, and portions were generous. The gyro meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and paired beautifully with the warm pita and fresh veggies. Their sauces especially the white sauce took everything to the next level. Awesome food, friendly people...BUT, the last two times I tried to stop by they were closed during hours when they should have been open. Both times it was weekdays around 2:30 in the afternoon and not on Wednesdays. The time before that they were away but left an "we'll be back at 2:00 sign". That's three strikes for me. I love these guys, but I'm giving up on them. I wish they were open during their published hours because I really enjoy their food...
I have been to Halal Guys kind of trucks over the past 10 years this was the first place I have seen serving such little amounts of food per meat over rice orders. I was surprised with the amount of food in the takeout orders.
