This by far is one of my most favorite restaurants in Columbus. Their happy hour is a great value and you must try the meatballs and orangino cocktail. The restaurant is nestled at the end of a strip mall, and the owners have done a wonderful job to make you feel like you are in Italy. During the warmer weather, the patio is open and so enjoyable. They even have a garden on the side of the building so that their customers can enjoy fresh produce. Our two most favorite meals are their chicken marsala and clams and spaghetti dish.

Having not had the opportunity to visit Nicola recently, we were totally pleased with a wonderful meal; the several pasta dishes were delicious, the wine perfect. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I have been frequenting Nicola since they opened over 12 years ago. In all of that time, I have *never* had a meal that wasn't entirely enjoyable. And everyone is friendly, including Nic and Speranza, the owners. I have seen some 1 star reviews and for the life of me I have to believe these were overdramatic. The restaurant is not inexpensive, so if you bring 6-8 people, it's gonna be pricey. In terms of service, yes, at times it is slow. Take a deep breath as this isn't McDonald's. If you're in a rush, let them know, but if you come in with a big entourage on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared to wait. KEEP SERVING UP THE AMAZING FOOD!

The bar was incredibly slow. We waited 10-15 minutes per drink order (even just for a glass of wine). They could have gotten another round out of us if they had moved more quickly but we were frustrated after two orders and left.

We had a reservation and were seated on the patio. We waited for 20 minutes while two servers in the patio area did not acknowledge us.
I had to speak with a busser at the host stand and thankfully, they arranged for a third, different waiter to come help us.
This waiter was the highlight of my experience at Nicola. I don’t think the patio was in her assigned tables, but regardless, she was kind and welcoming, which I had not felt so far at a restaurant I had good expectations for. I thought my scallops and risotto were satisfactory. My wife enjoyed her veal with scallops.
Maybe there was a miscommunication about table assignments, but we felt ignored by the two initial waiters several times while they walked right by us.
Shout out to the bus staff and our waiter; small acts go a long way.

Enjoyed my birthday dinner with my family. We had a party of 7 and sat on the lovely patio. Appetizers, food and drinks were wonderful. Gina the server was very attentive and knowledgable of food choices. We will be back.
charcuterie board was terrible caesar salad very disappointing' not house made dressing with anchovies laying on top instead of in the dressing the scaloppini was very good

We always enjoy coming here. Truly a neighborhood gem where the owner greets you personally. They make their pasta in house and you can tell! Cocktails are an Italian twist on old favorites. The restaurant is deceptively bigger than it looks and has a beautiful patio. They grow vegetables and herbs along the side of the restaurant too.
