If you like Powell Nocterra but don't like kids running around everywhere this is the place for you. Same really good beer, better food options, and no annoying kids!
I worked with Nocterra Audubon on a happy hour. The drinks, food, service and space were all a perfect choice for our group. I highly recommend for a great group setting!
Been five or six times now. Nocterra has some of the best beer in the city and the new winter menu is great. Highly recommend the birria grilled cheese, bento bowl, black sesame rolls, and Tara Java brownie (miso caramel topping is wild). You should definitely check this place out.
My wife and I went for brunch on a Sunday morning. The layout of the restaurant is beautiful, but much like others have said, the acoustics make it difficult to maintain a conversation. She got ramen which she said was delicious and I got French toast. The ramen is a decent sized portion but the French toast is only one slice. They top it off with granola and pepitas, which makes for an interesting texture combo. Overall, the French toast was underwhelming. Our service was sub par, the server acted like we didn’t exist. We had to track our server down just to get our bill. Definitely not the same ambiance as Powell, but I hope they succeed.
Went on a bike ride with my partner, and we decided to stop by Nocterra Brewing, conveniently located just off the bike path. Wow, they did not fail to impress! They had a delicious and wide range of draft selections in various sizes. The falafel sliders and wings were great, and the staff were very attentive and kind. We will be back.
Great location to grab some food, beers and hang with friends
Food is awesome
This place was an absolute delight. I had the Trail Break lager, and the small platea of Seared Scallops and Zanahorias.
Service was prompt and friendly, the resturant is clean and the patio is very nice with plenty of shade or sun depending on your preference.
But the food... my goodness it is good. I was a bit hesitant because bar and brewery fpod tends to be rather standard, so to see cevichi and scallops on the menu was a surprise. And boy, it was a good surprise.
The seared scallops are AMAZING. The pea puree and the compote perfectly compliment the scallops without overpowering them. The zanahorias carrots are perfectly cooked and the spices they use are both fragrant and tastey.
Overall, I am beyond impressed and delighted by this find. There are also NA beers and vegitarian options.
Im excited to come back!!!
Wow, Korean fried chicken sandwiches are amazing, but the potato cheese crochets are unbelievably good. The beers are very good also.
We wanted to try this place, but the service was awful. We were told to sit anywhere, which we did and sat at the upstairs bar. We sat for 20 minutes and were never acknowledged by the bartender. We even made eye contact, but he walked right by us and took orders from other people who had drinks already. We left without anything. I am very disappointed because I enjoy the beer at the Powell location.

Great food and beverage. Awesome location
Incredible atmosphere, great energy, and fantastic beer.
Excellent service and location. Right off the Olentangy Trail, it’s the perfect pit stop during a bike ride. The ceviche is refreshing and the PINK gluten free beer is fabulous— delighted to see that on the menu!
Service was good. Food was bland and nothing special.
I'm not sure if it was the time of day we visited (2pm on a Saturday), but the service was so bad. The hostess sat my party upstairs and either the woman working the bar was overwhelmed with the three other customers she had or didn't care about her customers. My husband and I each ordered one beer when we ordered our food and she didn't come back to check on us until after our meal was complete. Different servers dropped food off, didn't ask if we needed anything. No refills on water, no asking if we wanted to try something else. The food and drinks were okay, but not good enough to make up for being ignored as the woman chatted with other staff members.
