If you're looking for a chill place to have a drink and read a book. I highly recommend Parable. And they don't have live music the playlist they have on is great. 10/10.

Posted up at Parable Coffee to work on some personal projects on a Saturday for a few hours. First got a loose leaf black tea, and then later a sour beer they had on draft. Both were competitively priced. Loved the staff, and the ambiance is everything! Giving off the big city vibes I've been missing from my last city. I will say it was a surprise they had automatic gratuity, and it was a bit loud because it was busy. I just threw in airpods, and all was well. Next time I'll try a bite to eat. Would recommend simply to check out the interior design and music selection.

Parable is that spot. Their summer happy hour is unbeatable — seriously the best drinks in Columbus at prices that actually make you want to stay for another round. The cocktails are creative and consistently good, the vibe is effortlessly aesthetic, and the space feels intentional and welcoming. On top of that, their mission and values add depth to the experience — it’s clear they care about community and purpose, not just profit. Whether you're there for a chill coffee or evening drinks, Parable delivers every time.

Automatic tipping? Hahahaha. How about paying staff a fair wage instead of making the consumer subsidize it?

I'm supposed to pay a 20% fee just to order a coffee and a muffin? And if I don't want to pay it then I need to have an awkward conversation with the staff? Pass. I'll just go somewhere else.

Miracle Reason

Super cute.  Amazing customer service.
Special shoutout to Jeff, Syn? And Marco who took care of us in some capacity.

Drinks-  collins angel hot latte 5/5 and a matcha latte (Collins angel version) 4/5

Food- egg sandwich w/ bacon- soft bread,  thick bacon,  moist. 5/5 and vermonter- turkey apple and cheese pastry. 4/5 flaky,  good filling.  Not the biggest fan of the sesame seeds.

Overall clean,  cute,  great music/ vibes. A bit pricey, paid $23 for a pastry and drink. But I look forward to returning and exploring the wine/ bar and live music & after work ambiance.

They pretty much rushed me out and it was rude, and it was pretty crowded.

Beautiful place, however a bit frightening for customers coming in with the homeless out front and while waiting to order a gentleman who obviously was high on something came in and the staff quickly (but kindly) escorted him out. The lattes we ordered were excellent!

Disappointing and Unsanitary Experience

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but my experience at this coffee shop was awful. I ordered an egg sandwich, and it was practically inedible—it had an overwhelming amount of pure mustard on it, completely ruining the taste. Still, I tried to give the place a chance and ordered a hot vanilla latte.

As I was drinking, I suddenly felt something in my mouth—a long piece of yarn or something similar. It was absolutely disgusting. I immediately lost my appetite and felt sick to my stomach for the rest of the day. While they did offer to refund my drink, the damage was already done.

A coffee shop should maintain basic food safety and quality standards, and this experience makes me question their cleanliness. I won’t be coming back.

(Hoarable* Café) 💁‍♂️
I recently visited this place and decided to try their hot chocolate. Unfortunately, it tasted just like watered-down Swiss Miss hot chocolate, which was quite disappointing considering it cost $7. To make matters worse, it was served on the colder side and came in a small size. Definitely not worth the price and wasn’t able to return or exchange it.

I stopped in for coffee to go. The coffee was pretty good. The pastries looked quite good. I tried a bite of a rosemary cream cheese pastry, it was quite good. The prices were, quite high. The service was very good. There is no structure for tipping, which helps a bit to balance the sticker shock of a $9.50 latte. Or a $9 pastry. If I had time to sit and enjoy a meal, I think it would be a better experience.

Parable is a really high-quality coffee shop and bar. Their service and kindness are at the pinnacle of their purpose. Prices may seem more expensive than elsewhere, but it’s due to the responsible ownership of the business. Parable is a no tip Café and is guaranteeing their workers a fair livable wage. I will always support local businesses that take care of their people.
