I recently visited Park Service Café after hearing a lot of buzz about their drinks and cozy atmosphere. The café itself is charming — bright, clean, and modern with a relaxed vibe that makes it a nice place to catch up with friends or get some work done. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and my order came out quickly, which I really appreciated.

I decided to try the Rose Vanilla Latte, since it sounded unique and beautifully presented on their menu. While it looked nice and had a pleasant aroma, the flavor didn’t quite live up to expectations. The rose and vanilla notes were very subtle, almost too faint to distinguish, and the overall taste leaned a bit flat. I was hoping for a richer espresso base and a more balanced floral sweetness, but instead it felt a little watered down and lacked the depth I was expecting.

That said, I could see the potential — maybe it just wasn’t the best choice for my personal taste. I’d still come back to try other drinks or pastries since the ambiance and service were great. With some tweaks to the flavor balance, that latte could easily become a standout item.

GREAT little coffee shop, I don't give many 5's across the board put Park Service Coffee earned it. Quiet shop, really great friendly barista and most importantly amazing espresso. Highly recommend.

The best baristas in Cbus! Love the environment that Park Service has created and it’s so convenient being within walking distance of the Convention Center! So many great choices and without all of the sugars…Parking is free at the parking garage next door! Love this cozy place to work and enjoy!

The first thing I noticed waking in was how nice the staff was. They were very welcoming. The scone i had was really good, as was the iced chai. I will have to stop by here again.

To start I don’t think their pastries are fresh everyday. I know they sometimes have a basket with “day olds” however I believe some of the items I bought today were old and just in the pastry case. For example the pizza muffin which there was only four of at 8am and that they said they don’t make on the weekends due to making focaccia. The pizza of focaccia I had also didn’t taste as fresh as previous pieces I have bought and was definitely more dry. They also charged $8 instead of $7 for the pizza muffin which is the listed menu price. Sure it’s just a dollar but it makes me question the rest of their practices especially if they are selling older pastries for not even full price but literally more than full price.
The breakfast focaccia if not old and just a bad batch was very dry and too salty which again wasn’t like others I’ve had before so I am very suspicious of this one.
The space is cute but the WiFi is iffy. Sometimes it works well and sometimes it takes forever for things to load.
They do offer brunch but not starting until 10am on Thursday-Sunday.
I love that it is fully vegan but when you are paying a ton for just some pastries you want them to be good. The breakfast focaccia is something I am throwing away because it is probably the worst I have ever had not just here but in my life which is why I am even writing a review. I’ve been here before with more mixed experiences but this is the worst and as a result wouldn’t recommend stopping in because in this economy I can’t afford to buying food I won’t eat.

The breakfast focaccia didn’t quite do it for me but the perfect cappuccino, lovely vibes and friendly staff more than made up for it!!

On Saturday July 20, 2024, we visited the Park Service Coffee restaurant located at 19 Russell Street in Columbus, Ohio. Unfortunately, we encountered a distressing experience when the woman working there denied us access to the bathroom with our 3-year-old child. Her behavior was not only unaccommodating but also unfriendly and mean-spirited. Furthermore, we perceived her actions as discriminatory and racist towards us, particularly towards our young child. Although we had made a purchase, she refused to provide us with the bathroom code. However, the register attendant did ultimately provide us with the code. We are deeply disappointed in the manner in which we were treated and hope that the restaurant will take steps to address this incident and ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity.

Coffee was fairly overpriced for a small cup and the service was incredibly slow despite not appearing too busy. Two stars because the coffee itself was pretty decent. Would not return.

What a lovely coffee shop! I was greeted with beautiful smiles as I walked in, the aroma of the coffee was terrific, and the homemade baked goods are unbelievable. Coffee chains are truly not worth the time when places like Park Service Coffee exists! Thx Columbus!
