Honestly heard a lot of hype up from this place but it is absolutely trash. There is literally busted up furniture all over the patio. The service was super long with the place still half empty. Never even took our menues away and had to search for our own sauces. Brisket is super dry and sauces were really dry. The fries were dried to a chrisp like the were sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. It is not worth your time. white castle would be more worth your time and money...

Bartender attemped to be a server during the rush, didnt ring half of our order. Didnt write anything down and tried to play it off as if nothing went wrong. The food runner saved the day but then he carged 2 bills on 1 card when we gave him 2 cards.

Got there at 11am when the opened. Got the sampler the microwave chicken was warm, brisket was dry and mashed potatoes not microwaved. Guess when you get when they open. You get yesterday’s leftovers.

**the penny's salad will blow your mind.**possibly the best salad i've ever had, i have it every time i go there. it has beets, pecans and sweet cornbread croutonsunfortunately and ironically, the pecan pie is pretty terrible. i would give it one star. i've tried it 5 or 6 times now always hoping for the best, but it always has a myriad of odd flavors that should not be in sweet pie. including, sometimes, meat flavors. the crust tastes like stale freezer. i hope they fix thislove the outdoor firepit and string lights
My sister and I came to this establishment to eat some food. My sister has been here before. It was my first time for me. We would have only ones in there so by it being a Thursday it was a slow day I guess. So I ordered a half a slab of St Louis ribs and it was only four bones. My mac and cheese was okay the sauce was very soupy. The collard greens tastes like glory greens. The guy that made the food I guess he wanted to make sure we enjoyed it so we didn't want to be rude. My sister gave them a decent tip. As we were leaving I said thank you kindly as we were leaving out the door and no one said thank you for coming or come back and see us again soon. So for me I will not be coming back there because I didn't feel like I had a great experience and no one even said goodbye or have a great day.

If I could give no stars. I would. I came in yesterday and ordered around 2 PM a gourmet hotdog with brisket, a side of fries, a barbecue sandwich with blue cheese and a banana pudding. I get all the way from Downtown to Obetz only to realize most of my order was not there or unedible. I called the restaurant immediately. The girl that answered said oh you must be the guy who just took the carry out. I explained to her what had happened and she said, OK I will be here tomorrow come on in and I will fix it. I arrive today and the guy would not make iContact with me. He was rude to me even though it was the mistake of the restaurant not mine. Why should I pay that much and not get the food that I paid for and was left out. I live across the street and I come to that restaurant often and it has declined. After the way, I was treated today by management for a mistake that could’ve been easily resolved and made a continued customer out of me. I will not be back..

I have no idea what some of these reviews are talking about because this food was EXCELLENT. The BBQ was tender and juicy- greens, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, it was all the bomb dot com. The service was great, the kids working there were friendly and attentive but not annoying. The only thing I'll say is that it is a bit pricey, but if you want a good BBQ joint, this is it.Vegetarian options: They even offer an impossible burger.Kid-friendliness: Took my granddaughter and had no issues. They have a kids menu.
