sat at the bar, fabulous knowledgeable staff walked us through the menu. We chose the 4 dish option and were completely satisfied with each course and each bite. Chewy, hand made pasta in delicious sauce as authentic as it gets.
I honestly don't have anything bad to say about Pelino's. Everything was amazing from the greeting upon entrance to our check out. Staff is very knowledgeable and the food is incredible. I highly recommend going here because I'm definitely coming back and I live in Cleveland!
Loved that the staff was super attentive, explained everything and where it was sourced from, why they chose it, etc. Made for a great experience beyond just the food! And Tiramisu was to die for.
This was an outstanding experience to say the least. The pasta making class was simple and easy to follow. The wine selections were outstanding and the meal itself was again, outstanding.
We attended the pasta class for 2 and it was awesome. Very organized and well thought out. The three courses were delicious and so was the pasta I got to take home. Would highly recommend learning from the best!
A unique experience in Columbus. I am Italian and travel regularly to Italy. I have always been disappointed with Italian food here, rarely even trying it as past experience here has paled compared to the real thing. A friend I respect told me about this place, so my wife and I gave it a try and we had the tasting menu with pairings. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff there was attentive and knowledgeable, and explained each wine and each course. As in Italy, the portions were not huge, but each had an exceptional flavor and texture. My pasta all'astice was really amazing: pasta al dente and full of the flavor of lobster and the sea. The service was not fast, but this was not fast food and neither is good food in Italy. My only complaint was that it was a cold night when we were there and we were seated right next to the front door by the front window and my wife was very cold, having to wear her coat for much of the dinner. Especially when people came in and out of the door, often holding it open for long periods of time unnecessarily.
Worst dining experience of my entire life. NEVER GO ON THE FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH WHEN THEY ROLL OUT THE NEW MENU. But then again, never go on any day of the month. I hate this place with a passion.

This place is what we called OUR place, me and my husband loved having our date night here!!! The best thing is they change the menu every month so you will not get bored with the food. Pelino's are so great doing their food, you have to experience it.
One of the best meals we've ever had. You can taste the love & soul in the food from beginning to end. The service was also amazing. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave suggestions without being pushy. She was awesome and really took care of us. If you're looking for an experience & care about the quality of your food book the reservation. We will be back!
Overall, dining at Pelino's was a wonderful experience. We were celebrating a birthday, and I had one opportunity to make the right decision. Having not been there before, we were basically "winging it"! From the moment we were seated, I knew we were in for something special. The place is very quaint and comfortable, with minimal distractions. It was apparent that the food and service were the intended focus. Our server was very knowledgeable but not arrogant or assuming. He described the plate, how it was prepared, and why the selected wine was chosen to enhance the flavors and complement the dish. The entire staff was involved to ensure that we appreciated our experience. I can't help to mention something that caught my attention... The chef's interaction with his staff was directed toward the preparation of the food and the timing of plating. There was no one on their phone texting or scrolling, or talking about what time they get off! I look forward to going back soon, as they assured me that the menu changes often to take advantage of the freshest ingredients, much of which is sourced locally.

The food and service was amazing! The portion size of the Antipasti's we ordered was a bit small for the price but everything else was well portioned. This was my second time eating here and I will absolutely continue to go back!
The place was cute and had an eclectic menu, but the food was just decent. There wasn't anything that convinced me to return.
To start with the positive, the wait-staff was exceptional: clear, helpful and chatty in interesting ways. But the portions were so small that as soon as I got home from my $50 dinner, I ate two pieces of toast and peanut butter (and I am a small person). The taglietelli ai funghi was cold when we got it, and the pasta was tougher to chew than it should be even if it was meant to be cooked al dente. The pastry shell of the tart that three of us had for dessert was much too tough to cut with the spoon that we were given it eat it with. The other problem is that the air system blows cold air all over. Three of my party of four ate with the jackets on zipped up to the chin. The noise level is higher than I would have expected, which some people may like but I found it made it very hard to hear my dinner companions.
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my daughter's boyfriend's birthday. The food was outstanding — every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Our server was exceptional and knew every detail about each ingredient, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Incredible food, impeccable service, and a perfect evening all around!
My favorite Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio! I moved to Columbus several years ago from a big city and their homemade pasta and service was exceptional! You should give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!
