Really good food. Lots of college-aged people from CCAD from across the street. Had a college bar feel to it, but nice. The pierogi's were great, as you would expect from the name, but the chicken paprikash stole the show, delicious. Sauerkraut balls were a little undercooked but still had a great flavor. I'll be back.
As a vegan, this place was amazing!! I tried 3 pierogies with vegan sour cream (!). A side salad with vegan ranch (!). And a seitan schnitzel sandwich. The service was great. Our bartender was attentive. The atmosphere was exactly what i wanted. An artsy, divey, hole in the wall bar. I liked how dark it was. There was an oddities/local art vending machine. There was a patio and full bar. And! They have vegan dessert from pattycake bakery, whoopie pie, cupcake, and choc chip cookie....
Big variety of cans (ciders and beers galore— stuff I haven’t seen elsewhere). We got 8 pierogis and chicken paprishka. The food was lovely. Can’t say this is a dive bar, but it does have dive bar vibes (complimentary).
