Excellent Yemeni food. One of the best places to eat chicken and rice or meat. I highly recommend it.”

Tonight started out nit with King of Almandi as a dinner option. We are in the Columbus area and knew Yemeni cuisine was what we were getting. My husband mentioned this location, I said no, I wanted our routine restaurant in the area. We drive to our familiar spot and after entering decided to leave and come here. I have to say that I was extremely surprised. The welcoming staff and friendly interactions from the beginning were a relief. Ordered our choices and the speed in which our food was served was top notch. They were moderately busy and still quick. Now for the food... amazing! Portion size was great, the lamb was perfect. We ordered specialty drinks, the portion sizes were the best we've ever gotten at any Yemeni restaurant in any state we've been to. The lemon with mint hit with lemon at first taste and followed with the aftertaste of mint which it should, not sweet and that is perfection. Our daughter loves all of her Arabic culture and the brothers gave her the lead and grace, this means more to us than all of the other amazing aspects of our visit. King of Almandi will from now on be our regular spot in Columbus.

Service great but the food was not that good. I made sure to stick with something easy. I ordered chicken biyarni. The portion was abundant but the chicken was bland and did not match the flavors of the rice. It was extremely dry and flavorless. Had it been marinated I have not doubt it could have been good. The rice was very flavorful but not enough juice therefore, it was also dry. The soup that came with it was more like a gamey broth. It had no additional veggies, just broth. It was oily and the flavor was the worst parts of a lamb, just gamey. I love chicken biryani however, I think the Indian version is packed with flavor throughout every fiber of the chicken and juicy. I’m glad I didn’t do lamb.I’d really be upset because if the soup is gamey without lamb. So is the lamb gamey without the soup, Probably! How one can get simple items wrong means the more complex expensive items are bad too!

My husband and I went there tonight. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They brought two bowls of lamb soup before we even ordered our food. I had ordered the Chicken Mandi last time via delivery and loved it. This time we ordered Chicken Haneeth and some mango juice. They also gave us very yummy Arabic salad. The rice and Chicken tested awesome. Chicken was moist and flavorful. I wish they can open one restaurant in California where we’re visiting from. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, especially someone who is looking for good Halal food, to try their fresh food.

Good Mediterranean place visited recently in west side of Columbus.
Food options were slightly expensive, but quantity of food and taste were very good. Friendly people helped with ordering food and throughout our dining with what we needed. Place was busy when we visited and took more time for food to arrive.
However we liked the food and would recommend this location to your list to try out dining or to go.
Ambience was not great for family dining, some tables were clean when we visited.
