Biked here to get stamps for the Ale Trail - never would have come the the warehouse district otherwise. Quiet building on a dead end street with a nice open air set up. Seems like sours are their specialty and I'm not personally a fan of them- but their Orange Snap American wheat ale was perfect on a warm sunny weekend afternoon. The AI generated recipes seemed interesting.

the service here was despicable. it was almost as if i wasn’t welcome there. if i were at home or a friend’s house the hospitality would have been much better. they tried to upcharge me for my drinks and were so rude when they realized the mistake was their own and not mine. not to mention, i definitely spotted about two roaches on their patio while i was there. very dirty, rude and unwelcoming place. i wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy, let alone perfect strangers. save your money and please go anywhere else!

I came here on a weekend with my friends and the time I had there was interesting to say the least. To be fair, it was busy because of an event they had but the service was terrible and I saw a couple of bugs when I was there as well. Won’t be going back the next time I am in Columbus.

Concept makes them the only brewery in town that's... Unique? I've tried every brewery in Franklin county and have to admit that the scene gets a little repetitive. So the AI concept is actually really refreshing and keeps me interested in new releases.
Species X has a great product (silicone surprises me with it's consistent Ws) and the staff has been a dream at accommodating our large group! They're still working through the price points and refining the limited food menu but I think it's safe to say, based on the initial quality, that it's gonna keep getting better! As a regular, Ive seen improvement week by week.
The negatives are the lack of walkability and somewhat ugly immediate surroundings. But the little patio view is pleasant and there's 5000 parking spots nearby.

disappointing service, weird smelling beer and a very rude employee. The green haired girl was extremely short with me and didn’t even attempt to follow up with me when I asked a question. Idk what her problem is but if you don’t like your job you don’t have to work there.
Really expected a lot from this place. The idea seemed really interesting and a great place I’ve heard great things about . I’ve been hearing things for about six months so imagine my disappointment when I stepped in this past weekend to an utter letdown. Beers were average, crowd was sorta dead , the low vibes made us not want to linger .
Maybe we’ll try again in the future

Stopped here recently with my Trolley Pub group while I was training a new driver. I love their interior space, there are enough places to sit and it's got great atmosphere. I'm looking forward to spending time on their patio, and their beer and pizza that I've tried is delicious! Definitely a good spot to go with friends!

I have been to Species X a good amount of times and each time has been a wonderful experience. The brews (especially the sours) are creative and masterfully brewed while the food compliments them perfectly. Karly has phenomenal customer service and the owner Beau is so knowledgeable on craft beer. If you're looking for a unique spot with unique recipes, this is the place for you! Also their late night events & shows are straight bangers!
