I've lived in Columbus my whole life and this is the first time I've been to the Ringside Cafe. I can't wait to go back, it was amazing. It's like boxing and burgers got together and made some kind of burger heaven. All of the hamburgers are named after championship boxers. I had the biggest baddest one on the menu, the James Buster Douglass Burger. A double burger with one and a half pounds of beef, coleslaw, bacon, and cheese on a bun with a pound of fries...
Second time here. Burgers are the best in town! Very cool, historic, dimly lit tavern style bar. Feels like stepping back in time! Parking can be a pain....look for parking up around Tip-Top Kitchen and the Buckeye Bourbon Bar. Very cool place!
We stopped in here last evening for burgers. I had been in once before - but that was like 10 years ago. I remembered a good burger way back when so we tried it again. This place is SMALL. The menu is not large. It is actually (we found this out later) considered the oldest continuously operating bar/restaurant in Columbus. We liked our burgers a lot and appreciated them being cooked the way we ordered them. And the house-made chips on the side were also excellent. I won't...
