My partner and I had tickets to see a show at the Palace Theater, and we were looking for a good restaurant, within walking distance, at which to eat prior to the show. We settled on Rishi. We've eaten here a handful of times in the past, and the food never disappoints. The space is small, but the food is big on taste and quality. I started with the cucumber and carrot salad, followed by a Columbus Roll and Pacific Rim Roll (sushi rolls). My partner asked about gluten free selections, and the server brought out an actual gluten free menu. The food was outstanding, as was the service. I highly recommend this place.Dietary restrictions: Rishi has a gluten free menu.

I used to really like Rishi. However, I believe this place has really gone down hill. Tonight, I ordered pickup from Rishi through UberEats. When I picked my food up and got home, I discovered that none of the Sushi I ordered contained seafood. I ordered a Spicy Salmon Roll and a Spider Roll. Essentially, I just received rice, avocado, and cucumber (for $21). When I called Rishi to let them know, they indicated they could not remake the food since their kitchen staff had left (totally understandable). However, when I asked for a refund, they told me I had to contact UberEats and I would only be able to get a credit which I could use to come back tomorrow (bold assumption). Of course, you cannot get a refund from UberEats. When I asked about getting a credit directly from Rishi to use for a future visit, they indicated they do not do that sort of thing. This was overall a very disappointing experience. Their mistake became my problem to fix. If you decide to eat here, make sure you get what you ordered before paying.... otherwise you'll be left with having to dispute the charge on your credit card.

I ordered the Rishi Ramen. Kind of bland to be honest. The shumai was good as well as the sushi rolls. Unfortunately, the place is understaffed. We had one waitress for the whole floor. She busted her backside, but it was a while between visits from her.
