First time here and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was friendly.
We had a 6:15pm reservation, seated promptly, restaurant not that busy. Drinks took a really long time, and two of the featured drinks were made incorrectly. Angry Mussels were DELICIOUS but expensive ($20) for the portion of maybe half a pound. Two Guido's Chopped Salad, supposed to be romaine but appeared to be iceburg mix, numerous browned, wilted pieces. Spaghetti and meatballs were "okay" - could have used more sauce overall and meatballs were bland. Bolognese with requested gluten-free penne looked extremely pale and unappetizing, maybe a half cup of finely crumbled "ragu" but every drop was eaten. Chicken Marsala was good, but definitely not served hot and could have used more sauce. Definitely not worth $32 especially since a side of garlic mashed potatoes was $8, and also not served hot. Server was pleasant. Glad we went for the experience and part of a great evening, but won't go back.
Service was good, however the food was not good at all. We split the lasagna ( enough for 2 people). The food was not warm at all and this was the dryest lasagna I've ever had. Super disappointed as this is what we went for.
Service was amazing!!! Very attentive wait staff and offered up recommendations quickly. Just a little disappointed that our meals had no flavor... being that Guy is known as “Flavortown”, we had expected more spices or unique flavors to the dishes. I would recommend the Hot Stuffed Long Peppers as an appetizer - plenty of flavor there. We would go again to try different dishes.
Everything was incredible! I loved the Cajun chicken Alfredo! And the pappy van winkle flight was totally worth it!
Gave hostess our name, we were seated within 3 minutes. Hostess was very polite. Greeted by our waitress with a nice smile.. I watched as waitresses and servers moved throughout the restaurant serving other guests.... They all seemed comfortable and sure of their jobs and made their guests happy. Oour meals were fresh, hot and delicious.
What an unexpected treat to receive dessert on the house for our 40th anniversary. The presentation was spectacular and the cheesecake was superb. Thank you for making our night unforgettable.
Sat at the bar, Robert was attentive and made great suggestions. Dining experience was great. Will go back. Food was great... we had angry mussels, deli salad was amazing and the lasagna and was second to my lasagna ... very enjoyable and not heavy with sauce. Great all around!
It's a great place to eat and our server was doing an amazing job . We had a table of eight .The only concern we had was it took them forever to bring appetizers out to us
In my opinion you are simply paying for the name. The food was sub par. It left lots to be desired. The drinks were good though. However, for the amount of money spent it did not equate to the food we had. The dessert was delightful though. Being that it was in a casino its understandable that the noise cannot be dealt with.
Restaurantji Recommends
My wife and I recently dined at Guy Fieri's Trattoria inside the Scioto Downs Racino. This Italian restaurant is relatively new and located right inside the casino and racetrack complex. We made reservations on OpenTable which I highly recommend. The last time we tried to have dinner here the wait was over an hour, but with these reservations we got right in. The restaurant is nicely designed and you really could not hear the casino slot games from where we sat which was a huge plus. The staff was incredibly pleasant throughout our meal. While the food was pretty good, the drinks were both good and bad. I started with Guy's Santo Limoncello Margarita and it was not good. I love Limoncello and I love margaritas but this combination just did not work for me. My wife ordered a mocktail called the Wild Raspberry No-jito and she really liked it. My mother-in-law was with us and she enjoyed her sangria. For appetizers we started with the Fieri on Fire fried cheese. This is a tableside experience where they light the cheese on fire and serve it with small pieces of toasted bread. The first time they tried to light it the dish did not catch fire, so they had to return about 10 minutes later to do it again. The second attempt worked and the cheese tasted really good. Unfortunately they do not give you enough bread to make it through the full cheese appetizer. For the main course my wife got the Garlic Shrimp Scampi and loved it. My mother-in-law had never tried a Tomahawk steak so we shared the Tomahawk for two with garlic mashed potatoes. It was really good and we ate everything but the bone. Overall it was a good experience with good food. However, it felt a bit overpriced for what it is and I am not sure I will rush back to eat there again.
We both had surf and turf. The filets were exceptional and cooked perfectly. We had garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms as our side that were sooo good! Our server Amanda was so attentive. Thank you!
Decent food, mediocre drinks, all overpriced with slow service. Not terrible but not up to a brand standard I was expecting.
Always a good time; the staff is always friendly and recommend great options. Took friends there for dinner and walked away with leftovers due to the portion sizes!
Service was slow . Spaghetti had a kick to it spice wise. The chicken parm was tuff and had no flavor . My husband enjoyed his steak and Broccoli. Probably wont go back . And when we were leaving a couple tried to get a table and were told they had no open tables they had plenty of tables they were disappointed and didn't see why you would turn down a paying customer.
