Bagel was dry. Coffee was bland in flavor. Went to use the restroom - no paper towels. Very lackluster experience for a short north coffee shop.

A coffee shop where I feel comfortable in! The baristas are amazing and know what they’re doing. Ren was amazing and helped me find the right order ! Love going back monthly to see the local artists paintings for sale

Love this spot! One of the older staples of the short north left over from the good ol days. Casual atmosphere, baristas are cool without being pretentious and the espresso is my favorite in town.

As I walked into the coffee shop I noticed the amazing and talented new art hanging on the walls. The dog treat container on the counter was a sweet touch and showed they cared for our furry friends too! The customer service was top notch, the barista was smiley, friendly and had a pleasnt demeanor about her and was very knowledgeable about the coffee questions I had. The variety of pastries to choose from was hard, but I tried the pumpkin pop tart pastry and an iced pumpkin latte with cold foam and it was delicious. Overall the coffee, pastries, great customer service, ambiance, and music will always be why they have repeating customers!!

This has to be the best coffee place in Columbus. If you're in the area, it's a must-visit! The staff is super sweet and welcoming. The coffee is great, and they always have new flavors to try. 10/10!

Went and tried the Bonfire Latte with Oat that the tall barista recommended me and it was so cozy and a good switch up if you like lavender lattes! Loved the sage and rosemary flavors in it ☕️?

Dietary restrictions: They have so many milk types for anyone it feels like

I have to agree with a lot of these other reviews. This has to be the worst customer service in a coffee shop I've ever seen. It's like they hate their job and we are forcing them to be there to make our coffee. Generally, when I try new coffee, even if I don't love it, I'll drink it just to get the caffeine. This has to be the first time I've had to dump it out and be done with it. I'd never go back again. Mission coffee around the corner is much better.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “An overall ‘fine’ experience”

Service ?‍♂️

The service at Roaming Goat Coffee was okay, but nothing stood out. I tried to engage with the barista, Justin, about the music—Stormzy playing at 7 or 8 AM is a unique choice—but the conversation didn’t really take off. While he wasn’t rude, there wasn’t much warmth either, which left the interaction feeling a bit flat. Maybe it was just an off morning, but I was hoping for a bit more engagement. ???

Decor ?

The decor is nice, but it doesn’t set Roaming Goat Coffee apart from other cafes in the area. It’s a cool spot with a typical cafe vibe—comfortable but nothing that really grabs your attention. If you’re looking for a place to relax or get some work done, it definitely serves that purpose, but I wouldn’t call it a destination based on aesthetics alone. ???

Food ?️

As for the coffee, my latte was good but didn’t stand out as spectacular. It was a solid, enjoyable drink, but I didn’t find anything particularly memorable about it. It’s the kind of coffee that hits the spot but doesn’t leave a lasting impression. ???

In Retrospect ?

Reflecting on my visit, Roaming Goat Coffee offered a fine experience overall. The service and decor didn’t stand out, and while the latte was good, it wasn’t exceptional. That said, if you’re in the area and need a coffee fix, it’s a solid option. However, it may not be the most memorable cafe experience you’ll have in Columbus.

Final Verdict: ???? - “Good”
Catchy One-Liner: “Roaming Goat Coffee: A cool spot for a decent cup, but nothing to write home about.

Closing early because of “staff shortage”. Two days in a row I came here and the staff is so rude. No hello. No warmth. Both days the staff did not acknowledge me. Just absolutely cold. Yesterday and today. Today I just turned around and left and went down the street to the One Line coffee place and was treated like a human. Train your staff.

Baristas are very helpful and kind. They have uncommon Tea flavors which is always nice for this me. 10/10
