I enjoyed the southern bowl with BBQ Tofu, but it seemed like a weird combo. Might have been better off making my own bowl. Happy to have the option though!

I don't understand the point of ordering ahead if I still have to wait 20+ minutes for food I ordered at a specific time. There was a line to the door and all of those people got their food before 3 of us waiting for pick up. Wasting half my break standing around for food that should've been ready 5min within arriving. It's great food so I'd recommend dining in.

Love this restaurant and use them very frequently for catering. However, I’ve ordered takeout twice now for myself and both times they’ve forgotten 3-4 of the ingredients I ordered. Frustrating when you’re paying for those ingredients and expecting to have them in your bowl.

Placed an order via their website which was then "fulfilled" via DoorDash. I get a text from the doordash driver saying that they have handed my order out to someone else and that I need to call the restaurant for a refund. Well, call Roots who inform me that I should get a refund in 2-5 days. 2 weeks pass and no refund, call them again and they now say I need to dispute with doordash, who I never placed an order with or paid. Seems to me like the restaurant needs to stop handing out orders to random people

This place is my jam. When I'm being good to myself. All this stuff is high octane for the brain and body. Not just the greatly curated menu, no, I also mean the atmosphere and staff. As shop on a square, Roots Natural Kitchen, is a fairly new option thanks to a North High St. upgrade that affectionately applauds generations of Buskeyes and beautifully helps the current students thrive on an invigorating campus. I ordered and devoured a custom BBQ Tofu bowl. It was banging! The service was amazing and that always makes my day. I mean, you didn't have to be nice to me and serve me delicious food. You certain could have mailed it in and served me a healthy meal and that's that. But no, you hooked it up. That I truly appreciate! THANK YOU ROOTS NATURAL KITCHEN!!!!
