I have a new favorite donut on planet Earth! (To be clear, I don’t have extraterrestrial faves…yet!) I was in Columbus this past weekend for the Arnold and made a trip to try a donut at Rose Dough. (To be clear, my son is the weight lifting fanatic….I am more the donut lifting fanatic.) I had to make the very difficult decision of what donut to try out of some amazing flavor choices! So hard!! I went with the brown butter crème brûlée French cruller. Best decision of 2026 so far! THIS. DONUT. IS. A. LIFE. CHANGING. DONUT! (The big change for me unfortunately is donut sadness as they are in Ohio and I am not!😭) This donut was a perfect marriage of carmelized sugar, nutty toasty brown butter, and perfect cruller dough. It was a texture adventure through crunchy brûlée , crispy cruller ridges, and soft delectable donut innards. I say none of this lightly. This donut was $6 and I would not steer you towards a high priced donut unless I thought they had produced something exquisite. This is perfection. They should have Michelin stars for donuts. This place deserves them. The donut was fried perfectly, glazed perfectly, flavored perfectly, and presently perfectly (little black bag) in a perfect little storefront! If I go back to Columbus this will be my first stop! (Second stop will be the amazing public library built by Andrew Carnegie that overlooks Topiary Park. I want to sit in their reading room with a nice book and watch a storm while reading. That place is a free and hidden gem.) Thank you Rose Dough Donuts for ruining me for donuts anywhere else…😭 (To be clear, I’ll still eat donuts from other places…but I’ll be thinking of you the whole time.)

I first experienced these doughnuts at a farmers market, and I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor and texture of them. I've had good doughnuts before, but it's very rare to come across such truly exceptional doughnuts like these. I'm so happy that they were able to get their own shop in Columbus! They experiment with flavors like no one I've ever seen, which speaks for their dedication and creativity for their craft. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient too! These doughnuts are definitely worth the price as they are always beautiful and delicious <3

I love Rose Dough Donuts and highly recommend treating yourself to some of the best gourmet donuts in town. I have been pre-ordering Rose Dough Donuts for almost 2 years and can't say enough good things about the product and the people. These donuts are worth the dough! If you don't like lines, sign up for their emails or follow on instagram and do the pre-orders. NO WAITING! My favorite donuts are the crullers, all of them, but especially the cream filled and herbal ones. Brown Butter Parsley is my number 1. Red Fruits Coffee is 2. For the brioche, the Cardamom Cream Heart is unbeatable. Skip the pull aparts ;) Don't go one more weekend without Rose Dough in your life!

I have been a huge fan of Rose Dough since back when they were still a ghost kitchen. Not only are the flavors fun and creative, but the donuts are gorgeous and delicious! These donuts have become a huge part of my partner and my life. We always get them for holidays and special occasions and love to just sit in the car and enjoy one and talk before driving away. When we got engaged earlier this month, this was where we went to celebrate before calling our family. Clearly this place means a lot to us and I will continue to recommend this gem of a bakery to anyone looking for a sweet breakfast treat!
