Nothing like closing your restaurant and never even telling the employees! Class act.

Food was excellent and service was great considering the large group we had. Definitely a place to go for the atmosphere and something different than the usual.

This is only my second time here, but both times, the service has been absolutely fantastic. Everyone is truly so kind and a genuine joy to be served by. The drinks have always been wonderful and so has the food. Oh, and happy hour is definitely something to take advantage of. Can't wait for my next visit.
Absolutely fantastic food with the new menu- burger is great, shrimp is great, and the new cocktails are very good.
A new concept and a new fresh menu. Great night.

Our waitress handed hot coffee and hot plates over my newborn who was sitting in his stroller today around noon. Very unprofessional and shocking that she would choose to put him at risk like that.

The service was lacking from the time we came through the door. Took a bit to get seated, which wasn't a typical seating. You choose where you want to sit on your own, then go to the bar to order food and drinks. They didn't give us a menu and someone flew by and dropped a bottle of self serve water on the table without saying a word. To order drinks, we were 6th party in line so we had to wait forever to place the order. Just wasn't at all what we were expecting when making dinner reservations.
We made reservations to go to Rye River Social for a birthday gathering. We called and confirmed and asked for a specific server there. All was set. We got there, 17 of us, and there was not a table set. I had to figure that out and put tables together. After being seated for approximately 20 minutes, a bartender told us that there are no longer servers and we had to go to the bar to order food. Huh? They finally agreed to me taking everyone's order and delivering to the bar. As food was being prepared, I ran another round of drinks for the table. When we sat with empty plates, I went to the bar and grouped everyone's checks for them, then delivered the checks. One employee (and I didn't get her name) actually tried to make it an okay experience by allowing me to serve the table. What's worse? They charged us an automatic 20% gratuity. Rye River Social, you just lost business from a lot of people. That was disappointing, to say the least. The 20% automatic gratuity should have at least been removed. Just completely disappointed and upset at the experience.

After driving 8 hours to spend the weekend in Columbus and specifically picking this restaurant for their menu it was very disappointing to walk into the restaurant to find out that the whole menu had changed. New menu was disjointed and hard to figure out (appetizers/shareables vs sandwiches). Very few selections. Service and drinks were WONDERFUL though. Food and selection not so much. If you are going to revamp your space do it in entirety and change your website.

We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully crafted the food and beverages were. The service was really good, too. 10/10 will definitely return.
Have been going to Rye River Social ever since they opened. First time there was such a great experience. The Wings were to die for. The Cocktails were on point. The food was really good. Don't remember what we had but remember everyone saying how great it was. We were there last night 3/2/2024 Had the wings and cauliflower for appetizers. cauliflower was tasty. The wings were the opposite. Absolutely no taste. Even though they were supposed to have been rubbed????? These are by far the most disappointing wings I've ever had. The original wings were so outstanding. But why keep something great when you can do mediocre. Had the duck and pasta. While it was flavorful and quite a bit of duck . It could have been beef or pork or chicken. No real Duck Flavor. Red sauce overwhelms the duck. It's my fault because I know better. But why is that combination even on the menu? Last but not least one of the worst Vodka Dirty Martini's I've ever had. After all these years I believe that will be losing us as Customers. Too many other great places that do much better. Could be why they were a bit slow last night.
