We traveled on I-70 and took a short detour to check out this German restaurant. The food was fabulous! We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese, Milder Mama sausage platter, Fat Daddy sandwich, and the kid’s hotdog. The atmosphere felt authentic and service was good. We reserved a table ahead using yelp. I recommend that if you go on a Saturday or at a busy time of year.
I love it; the food was excellent, and the service was very attentive.
Couldn’t be more disappointed with the chicken sausage I just got at the food truck. The bun is the smallest bun they could get, the amount of onions was abysmal and the actual sausage itself is so dry, I have to take half bites. I was so excited to see them in the parking lot and am now so annoyed I spent $9 on one thing when I could’ve gotten an entire, consistently delicious meal at the DQ.
Long wait time but soooooo worth it. Super tasty, made me wish I lived in Columbus

Wunderbar buffet! Everything was delicious! Jesaan was my server and she was excellent, professional, friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I’ll definitely be back!
Love this place! We got the buffet and was great to try everything and they keep the place very clean.
I tend to give good ratings but schmidts is up there. Great German food and they have a buffet that has all the best things on it. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Highly recommend.
I went with my daughter for the buffet. The food was so good. Everything we tasted was on point and our waitress was wonderful. They also had live music there which was a nice touch!
It was my first visit as well. The sausage, in my opinion, lacked the taste and texture of freshly made product; it tasted like commercially produced sausage, possibly even a day or two old. The experience did not meet the expectations generated by prior reviews. My lunchtime visit proved disappointing.

Buffet is back! Love this place when in the mood for German type food.
Authentic German food. We ate here going through the state, and we're hoping to eat there on our way back. They were closed. But I would drive 5 hrs again if I knew we were going here.
Terrible experience, food was ok, service sucked, over priced for the food and service.
The German potato salad is phenomenal.
