Great hole in the wall, especially to be on High Street. We paid $2.50 for well gin for happy hour. Big fan 😋. The bar tender was super friendly and quick with refills. She was also friendly to out of towners. Love this place for a low key vibe. We will be back!

Great Detroit Style pizza. Good sauce plenty of cheese and buttery crust. It's a pizza place inside of a bar. It's self serve. You order in a window in the back and serve yourself. These isn't a wait staff.

Can't even speak to the person next to you, it's so loud. No service at all, have to use a QR code, don't offer any basic ammenities like drink services, plates, utensils, or napkins. It's very much a basic bar with decent pizza.

I had one of the best times here last week! We had table service as well as bar service! It is quaint and surprisingly multi-cultural! The drinks were amazing and the Atmosphere gave you Local Bar in the Short North Area! Everyone there came for the same purpose and that was to have a good time! The only reason why I couldn’t give this a full five stars for food is because my friends ordered and I did not, but it still looked impressive

North Short Tavern was a wonderful experience on a Saturday night. Being from out of town we stopped in for some drinks. The place was full but we were lucky to get seats at the bar as people were leaving. The establishment was consistently full of people in their 20's, which we like. The music was loud and provided a positive atmosphere. People were nice as it got crowded but respectful and not pushy to get drinks from the bar. Bridget was our bartender and she is fabulous. Made us feel welcome and took care of our drinks in a timely fashion, plus well made. Drink prices are crazy low, especially for an urban environment. Long Island only $6.25, vodka cranberry is $4 and these are regular prices. Wow.
I cannot comment on the food since we had drinks only. Overall loved the vibe, people and everything about the place.

Was in town for a football game and wondered in. This place is great! Grab a pint and order some pizza. The deep dish is a Detroit style and 4 pieces make a whole pizza. My brother and I split it and it was plenty. Highly recommend this spot.
A lively crowd was out on 12/14/24. It was a great time! Short North Tavern is a long-time go-to bar. No frills kind of place, but that's why I like it. They have a big projector for OSU football games. It’s fun to play darts there, too, but can take time to get a dartboard if it's busy.

Tried to come in with a group from the pedal wagon and were told "this isn't the place for you." Meaning I guess the townies keeping the stools warm or the bartenders who only speak to regulars with whiskey dick would not like fresh business. There are a hundred other bars around who didn't mind the extra tips our drunk old ladies were leaving. Imagine thinking a your boring bar is too good for anyone.
Awesome food and service
