The person taking orders was very friendly and nice. The restaurant was very industrial design but clean. Service was quick considering how busy they were. The food was good.
Everything I've had is delicious everytime
Food was amazing as always!
My only regret in life is that I lived in Columbus for two years before trying Si Señor. We got the chicken salad (amazing) and the Chicharrón (life changing).
We will be back. A lot.
While waiting for carryout we sat at a table. The chair had horizontal slats at the back, and I grabbed under the top slat to pull the chair out. My hand ended up sticky — gross! After sitting down, I noticed a thick dry crust of something opaque across the table. I asked my friend, is it me, or is this table totally filthy? He said, yeah, it’s bad. We moved to another table. It wasn’t as gross, but had spills and rings and bits of food that could build up by noon if no one cleaned tables yet.
We decided to stand and wait near the counter. I mentioned to the owner that, by the way, the table where we were sitting — the chair and tabletop were unusually dirty and gave details, and explained how my hand got sticky and dirty just pulling back the chair. He said, “Well, we’re busy today.” (No expression of regret, or so sorry!)
But I’ve worked in restaurants. This wasn’t the kind of scum that accumulates in an hour or two. It was long-term lack of cleaning in my opinion. I know the signs, such as the layer of black dirt along the base of the walls and a film on the floors because the floor is never really cleaned — the dirty water is just sloshed around (see photo). I know from being a server that it takes time to clean chairs properly, especially when there are lots of slats and parts, as these chair-backs have.
While standing and waiting, we noticed that our shoes were sticking to the floor a little, every time we took a step. Wow, things have really gone downhill at Si Senõr, it’s just sad.
I wish I’d gotten photos of the filthy tabletops, but the owner sent someone out to wipe them before I thought of getting a photo. I wasn’t that annoyed until the owner made no expression of regret or apology — just “we’re busy.”
I’m not confident about the food now. I doubt I’ll ever go back.
Good food. Nice service.
The food here is excellent, but the customer service is truly disappointing. The cashier’s consistently rude and dismissive attitude is disheartening to witness, as it creates an unwelcoming atmosphere for customers. Regardless of how busy and overwhelmed one might be, there’s a basic level of respect that should be upheld. No one expects excessive friendliness, but common courtesy shouldn’t be optional. If she is part of ownership, she should take a moment to reflect on how her behavior impacts the business. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to decide that we won’t be returning to this location—maybe their restaurant altogether.
Friendly service, expensive, and just ok. 30 bucks for 2 sandos and a side that took 20 minutes to make. The bread was nice and the cilantro mayo sauce was so underwhelming. 6 bucks for a fried plantain...I'm just missing something I guess
These sandwiches are amazing! The typical sandwich shops i.e. Subway don't even compare to what you get at Si Senor.
I seen this restaurant on ig and thought to try it. The sandwich was good. The bread was soft in one part and crispy on the other. If the bread was toasted it shouldn’t be mushy/soft? The pasta salad tasted just like mayo no seasoning. Speaking of mayo they charge for extra for mayo. I mean if you close to it enjoy but nothing to go out of your way for.
