Great place to eat in downtown Columbus Ohio. Latin and Mediterranean dishes with an interesting blend of aroma, tastes, flavors and generous portions reasonably priced.

Service was lousy for a slow Monday night. We had to constantly seek the waiter out for things. We both ordered salads to start but they came out five minutes apart. Most of the food was very good but sparse for the prices. It was also loud due to a table nearby, making it difficult to converse.

Everything on the menu is good, but I could eat the spicy potatoes and the chicken skewers every day and be happy. Great options for vegetarians as well.

Excellent Tapas eatery.
Plates were tasty and food came out quick.
Would recommend!
We always have a great experience at Sidebar! If you love a tapas restaurant this is it!! We come here a few times a year and the food is always excellent! Muscles, saffron risotto, garlic mushrooms and beef empanadas are just a few of our favorites. The poached pear and ice cream is the best dessert they have!! Highly recommend!!

A Columbus Gem — The Paella is Worth the Hype!
Our friends told us we had to try the paella at Sidebar, and they were absolutely right — it’s phenomenal! The dish arrived in a traditional paella pan, brimming with perfectly cooked mussels, shrimp, chorizo, chicken, rice, and peppers. Every bite was full of rich, authentic flavor — beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the care and tradition that goes into this dish.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was just as impressive as the food. It’s rare to find a spot in Columbus that captures the essence of classic Spanish cooking like this. If you’re a paella lover (or even if you’re not yet!), Sidebar should be at the top of your list. Absolutely worth requesting in advance, you’ll be so glad you did!

The food was amazing! Pizza was delicious, meat skewers, and rolls oh my. The service was a little slow but friendly.

Restaurantji Recommends
This place changed my mind about duck and getting desserts at restaurants. I previously thought these things were overrated, now Sidebar is my top recommendation for anyone visiting Columbus to try a little bit of everything.

We came from out of state and we are always looking for new restaurants to try. We stumbled upon this restaurant on google and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing and the staff were beyond exceptional. We came as a big group and given the bilingual staff half our party was able to be included and feel comfortable. I can’t say enough good things from the cleanliness to the above and beyond service. Should we find ourselves back in Ohio we will absolutely be back!

Cool place. The food is a little pricy and small portioned, but the quality is there so it’s understandable.
One thing I cannot recommend is the tres leches cake. It’s probably the worst tres leches I’ve had (not much milk, kinda tasted like regular cake) and the raspberry syrup topping in my opinion does not compliment it at all.

Absolute top shelf. Great Tapas. The happy hour menu was right priced as well.
Sidebar Columbus has a cool, edgy vibe that makes it stand out right away. I appreciate that they offer non-alcoholic options alongside a diverse, well-thought-out menu. I went with the braised short ribs—perfectly cooked and packed with bold flavors. DeAndre ordered the roasted duck, which was also executed really well. Overall, a solid spot for anyone looking for great food in a unique atmosphere
