I’ve tried all the Korean restaurants on bethel / Henderson and this place is imo the best. I don’t get the soondubu tofu soup since I don’t like that soup in general but their other entrees like the grilled mackerel and bibimbap is sooo delicious. Also I love their banchan. Very good quality. My fiancé is from the Bay Area and their bibimbap is the only one that can hit the spot for him in Columbus. This place is such a gem. I wanted to gatekeep this to keep this special treasure to myself but I wanted to share bc they really do deserve the business.

Great lunch. The sdg tofu soup is flavorful and customizable especially with spice level. One of the best seafood pancakes of the local korean restaurants. The included bon chon with meals are grear value.

This is a franchise as our friend invited us for lunch here and we love to try authentic restaurants.
The menu selection is limited compared to a Korean mom and pop restaurant.
The food was good. If you order all the different types of beef combo, it's a lot of protein and pricey, but it tastes fresh.
The server didn't bother us much, but we had to call him over to get the check. Apparently that's how most Korean traditional restaurants work according to our friend.

We regularly go to the one in Hartsdale, NY and this one was just as good. The one in Manhattan is disappointing, but Columbus, Ohio and Hartsdale, NY are fantastic.

When the food is good it’s really good . Known for its tofu stew . It bubbles and sizzles as it is served in a clay pot . You can choose your protein , spicy level , and type of carb like noodles , hot pot rice (this is a must) . I think their side dishes are good and consistent.
I would say the service is a hit or miss as they look understaffed when busy. I would recommend to anyone to try it out but do not recommend the kbbq as there are other places that do it better .

Their stew is amazing.
To die for! I like to order the vegetable/tofu stew level 5 spice (or hotter if they’ll do it) and flat noodles.

Best serving I've seen in a while from anywhere. Will be coming back very soon. As Korean myself, reminded me of home.

A group of us visited SGD for lunch, the restaurant is pretty big host gathering!
The food was good, most of us ordered the Soon tofu, their popular dish, in the cold and snowy day. I had specifically the kimchi beef soon tofu with mild spicy (I normally can take some heat, but this was just perfect for me, taken note, spicy soup does feel more spicy in hot soups! I ordered it with the udon noodle. It was delicious! The side dishes were great, about three of us shared a set of 6-7 sides, and you can always ask for more if you finish.
Their seafood pancake was also delicious! I would come back and try their other menu items!

The best place to get soondubu (순두부찌개) in Columbus is SGD! It’s similar to BCD for those of you on the West/East coasts. I would recommend choosing the hot stone rice bowl over noodles if you order the soondubu. The waiter told us that if you really want to have yours with noodles, the kalguksu 칼국수 probably goes best with it. Their other items on the menu such as galbi 갈비 is great! I wouldn’t say that the food is mindblowingly good, but I think I’m just spoiled since I am used to eating great Korean food in LA Ktown.
I think it’d be a good idea to hire more staff, as it can take a while to place your order or get your check when it gets busy.

Comfort bowl of Soondubu! Food is good but off by 1% that I can't put my finger on. Slightly pricy but what isn't these days. They give a nice array of side dishes which is nice :)

Went for lunch to this place with a korean friend. We have been to many korean restaurants in Columbus. But this restaurant is really good. Food was fresh and delicious. Also liked the menu that is not a 30 page binder.lol. it is pretty straight. Really loved the Tofu and Mushroom. We also had the Kimchi Pancake and Makegeoli. That was awesome. Good veg options as well. There was a buckwheat drink...that was fantastic.
Ambiance is casual and relaxed.
I would definitely recommend.
