Complaint Regarding Bathroom Access Policy
Hello, I am writing to report an unacceptable experience I had today at one of your Starbucks locations. I was denied access to the bathroom unless I placed an order first. In all my years visiting Starbucks, I have never encountered such a policy.
This is extremely disappointing, and I believe it reflects poorly on customer service and accessibility standards. I’m requesting that this policy be reviewed, as it creates a negative experience for customers and the community.

The Starbucks on High street offers a somewhat accessible environment, though there is room for improvement. Although it has a welcoming atmosphere and the store is quite clean, the store is often quite crowded with limited space to move around comfortably. For wheelchair users, there is flat ground and no entry stairs, but limited room and tight layout makes it difficult to navigate. The counters are at a good height. The Starbucks is quite small and can become very loud with the hustling baristas and customers socializing, making it an overwhelming space for some. I think the store could benefit from expansion with clear pathways and distinguishing areas between the customers waiting for their drinks and the customers sitting to study or chat. The seating areas consist of a few high top tables with other standard tables placed closely together. The standard tables are at a good heigh. I don’t believe that there are any doors that have an automatic open. It is also difficult to find free parking near the store. Overall, the staff and atmosphere is very welcoming and positive but I do not think that this Starbucks is up to standards with their accessibility and I believe that some areas could be improved with expansion.

I visited this Starbucks for an assignment for a Disability Studies class to look at the accessibility of the establishment. I feel that there are a few factors that could be considered non-accessible for certain people. First, in order to get into the building you have to be able to pull the door open which may not be doable by everyone. Second I noticed the inside space is pretty tight so if a wheelchair user were to try and navigate around there might be too tight of spaces to go through making things difficult for them. I also noticed on the bathroom there are keypads, while this is for safety reasons, someone who may have difficulty communicating may feel like they cannot use the restroom if they cannot communicate with the employees. Lastly, I noticed the music playing in the background which was something that was not too loud and created a more calm feeling in the building which may make such a public space more comfortable for customers. But, the staff is very friendly, and seems to be willing to assist anyone in need if that situation were to present itself, and if someone wanted to ask for assistance.

Phenomenal customer service. It's rare to come across baristas that remember your name and the little things about you. Not including how positive they show up every day, not knowing what they are dealing with outside of work.

This is a nice Starbucks. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into here and was pleasantly surprised to see that this is a very clean Starbucks that isn’t busy and has multiple tables to sit at both inside and outside. I waited behind one person before asking the barista there to make me the most basic white girl drink possible. He proceeded to make me a lemon juice drink, which I thought tasted terrible, but that’s because I’m not a basic white girl. However, I was still satisfied with my experience here because the service I received was exemplary and I’m sure my drink would have tasted significantly better if I ordered something I actually like.
