Some of the rudest staff I have ever met. The woman got my order wrong and I kindly ask her for my order and she rolled her eyes at me. I've had multiple instances where I've seen their staff super mean to customers. Won't be coming back just for that reason.

A very artsy, avant-garde looking coffee shop in German village with indoor and outdoor seating. Curb appeal alone is probably enough to give this place serious consideration. Prices were less than the local Starbucks, and their coffee didn’t even taste burnt. Conversely, my wife actually burned her tongue on our cappuccino to go, and this made me sad. I’m not sure why coffee drinks have to be made so hot here, especially latte variations. I don’t recall ever burning my tongue on a coffee from a café or bistro in Paris, Versailles, ou Bruges. It never happened to me either in a bar or caffè in Venezia, Sienna, Florencia, Roma, or Turino. So why, why oh why, must American coffee shops insist on churning out their coffee at metal-melting temperatures in stupid paper cups that require an extra cardboard handle to prevent scalding? Is it because, unlike overseas, the typical American coffee drinker maxes out in quantity to nurse an undiscriminating drinking fetish throughout an entire day? Shouldn’t an upscale coffee roaster like Stauf’s buck this trend and expect if not encourage its patrons to drink their coffee within more quickly to truly appreciate the store’s better consistency of product, savor its delicate aromas, and experience the voluptuous steamed milk suspension as designed? Evidently Stauf's has an identity crisis. Either it decides to cater to the masses who frequent Cumberland Farms and McDonald’s for supersized, run-of-the-mill coffees at fleabag prices, or it focuses on the aficionados who are willing to pay a bit more for better quality coffee in the right ambiance, coffee that is also served at the right temperature. Therein lies the trick to the ideal coffee experience, and when we went, Stauf’s only executed the trick partway.

Delicious, hot, freshly made coffee. Watch a local artisan roast coffee while you wait. The breakfast menu looked very appetizing, but was not on our schedule for the day.

For years I would use my Starbucks card across the street uniI I finally ventured over to Stauf’s. I immediately fell in love with their coffee and stop there whenever I am in town. The fact that it’s next door to my favorite book store doesn’t hurt. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. When I am undecided on what to choose they guide me in the right direction. Oh, when recently visiting one of the staff mentioned that Starbucks across the street is out of business. I didn’t realize that as it’s been before Covid that I was able to come back to Columbus.

Enjoyed Stauf’s Grandview—because of COVID, we sat outside. We enjoyed a family breakfast after my daughter’s wedding before we traveled back to Pittsburgh. We enjoyed Stauf’s friendly hospitality.

Stauf’s discriminates against babies and young children. The manager refused my baby a high chair. We have frequented Stauf’s for years, and can’t believe how rudely we were treated.

Cafe food and service here is very good. Service is awesome even when they are busy. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.

Stopped in for a quick drink and it was great! Lots of options including milk alternatives. After reading some of these other reviews, will definitely have to go back and try the pastries! Great service and decor as well, parking isn’t the easiest.
