Worst service everI have been a loyal customer of your German Village location for years. I have had a bad experience before with one of your baristas, Britney. However, today was by far the worst customer service at a coffee shop that I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. For starters, she didn’t even acknowledge or respond to my greetings. All she said was “what do you want?” Not hello or hi. Then she proceeded to asks me if the food I had in my hand was going to continue to be eaten inside, I responded that yes. Well, she proceeded to lecture to me about it in a rude and demeaning tone. I’m fine with no outside food being accepted inside, it’s your business but there is no need to be rude. Then she decided to talk to her coworkers about me and in her words “all those customers that can’t read a sign”, literally like if I wasn’t there. Not happy with that, I asked the other barista preparing our order if he could please make it to go instead, Britney decided to just bark at me telling me that I had clearly order to eat there, again in a very rude tone. She and her other coworker apparently like to talk about their customers “behind their backs” when the customers are right next to them. On top of that, she put in the order of our second drink wrongly. This isn’t the first time I had come across her rudeness but today it was something else.

We stopped in for a cappuccino, a couple of hot chocolates, and a triple mocha. The line was almost to the door, but they worked quickly. It was well worth the wait.

Coffee is solid but no worth the price of beans..... worst espresso in the city. Espresso is dark roast beans that never fails to make the drink taste dark and burnt.

There are too many great options in the area to deal with AWFUL service. At exactly 6 the barista came storming back to tell us we had been given more than enough time to know they were closing and had to leave immediately. She made zero eye contact and held the door open for us to get out. This was even the language she used. Even if we had been given that heads up, the aggressive nature of feeling thrown out was uncalled for. And for the record a gentleman had come back earlier (around 5:40) to kindly let us know we had 15 minutes to order drinks. He never mentioned closing time. We were professionals wrapping up a conversation and that was embarrassing and terrible. I'll never return.
