From the minute I walk through the door, I always feel so welcomed! I love bringing "first timers", knowing they will enjoy it as much as I do. I completely forgot one of my guests was a vegetarian. He had no problem with the large number of choices he had from the amazing menu! My mouth waters just thinking of all the choices of food and the creative choices of drinks! Keep up the great work. I can't wait to come back!

Always an amazing visit to Subourbon. Friendly staff, amazing cocktails, and food so good you'd swear your southern grandma cooked it. Brother from out of town was over the moon with the pork chop.

Our favorite spot for the best catfish anywhere!!! Better than most places in New Orleans!

We have been here several times and this is the first time the waitress wouldn't let my friend order two drinks at the happy hour price for people who were running late. Service was efficient. The garlic shrimp and pimento dip are always great. Nice kick to both of them.

This was our first time dining at this great restaurant. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, our waitress. Lily was so kind and so nice actually everyone there was so kind and so nice. We will definitely be back and tell all of our friends and family to please go check out this restaurant.

There was only one server working and she did a wonderful job juggling all the tables. The food was great! A little on the heavy side, but that's to be expected with Southern food. Portions were generous and the pricing was on point. Would definitely return!

Our first trip to Subourbon Southern did not disappoint. I wish I could give 4.5 stars. The service was quick and super friendly. The food was delish. Icing on the cake... happy hour on a SATURDAY!!! We ordered the deviled eggs, BBQ shrimp, gumbo, cornbread, KFC bites, Cesar salad, and a total of 3 drinks... because why not? It was happy hour! I didn't quite care for the bacon on the deviled eggs. They were just ok. My husband said the gumbo was THE best! The shrimp were cooked just right, but we thought the abundance of lemon threw off the BBQ flavor a bit. We LOVED the jalapeño cornbread. My husband is a bourbon fan, which is what prompted us to go initially. He said the peach Old Fashioned was smooth and very good. He also tried the waitress's pick and said it had a distinctive and pleasant taste. The bourbon menu is very extensive, so if you are a bourbon connoisseur ... you've got to visit at least once. I'm a cocktail girlie and had the Pura Vida. It was so good! Looking forward to coming back again and enjoying the patio.

Service was amazing! Our server - may have been the owner? - too great care of us as soon as we sat down. He was pleasant and offered a number of great recommendations, all of which we loved. We started with the cornbread and KFC bites, which were devoured. Everything we had for dinner was equally amazing - country fried chicken, blacked catfish, catfish and okra and the yummy house burger. I look forward to our next visit and trying more yummy dishes!

Food amazing. The noise level was noticeably loud. It could be the location of where I was sitting. Going forward will always try to request the high top tables.

Was super surprised by this place. Is in an unassuming spot and I had passed by it more than a dozen times. I am so glad I tried it! Southern comfort food with top notch cocktails. Love the combo. The deviled eggs and KFC chicken are wonderful appetizers. The deviled eggs came with some bacon and seasoning that really elevated it and is a nice snack. KFC bacon comes in this sweet'ish soy type sauce. Both are simple but really well done.

Being in central ohio, I am very surprised by what I am going to say......the crab cakes were some of the best I have ever had! Well balanced and really fresh tasting. Highly recommend that dish!

The cocktails are really high level as well. One of the better old fashions I ahve ever had. Super smooth and not overly sweet or strong.

Overall a really great experience with some amazing food!

I made weeknight (5pm) reservations for two for a hightop in the small bar area - for ambiance, the bar area is definitely the place to be, but, depending on the crowd (or just one table, as was the case during our visit), the noise level can make a normal conversation nearly impossible. In light of this, I must compliment our server for being perceptive of the issue without us having to mention it. After getting us our drinks, we were quickly offered a table in the dining room where we found the noise level to be much reduced. Although service was slow due to an uptick in customers around the 5:30/6pm hour, once our food was ordered, it arrived quickly. My husband, a fan of authentic southern cooking, was pleased with the items we ordered which included the cornbread, fried green tomatoes, gumbo, and blackened catfish w/ greens and pimento cheese grits. Everything was very good. Once again, I must brag on the exceptional care with which we were treated. I was absolutely impressed by our server (also the bartender) who not only acknowledged the delay we had in placing our entree order, but also took steps to ensure we felt valued as customers. Her genuine concern for our comfort and extra kindness were a welcome and refreshing experience! Give this place a try! I'm confident that you will find not only the southern dishes to be authentic, but the southern hospitality as well!

Truly excellent bourbon selection with amazingly knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food is always amazing, the wine selection is on point, and it's all delivered in a very chill setting. Absolutely a place we keep going back to!

Our meal was fabulous, and our server Heather was great! We had the bread and butter appetizer along with the deviled eggs. I'm a huge deviled egg fan and these were great. Along with the appetizers, we had cocktails. I had the Bruce 2 and my wife and son had the Pura Vida. Both drinks were well prepared and nicely presented. For dinner we had the grilled. One in pork chop, the mushroom pasta, and the shrimp and grits. All three dishes had great flavor and nicely plated. All the meals were more than enough food without being huge. My only suggestion would be with the pork chop, it could have used more of the peach chutney. When it came time for desserts, we went with the key lime pie, and the derby pie. Both were a nice size to share. The derby pie came with a scoop of ice cream. The flavor was excellent though I would have liked the pie heated. The key lime pie was very flavorful. Overall, Subourbon Southern Kitchen was a great experience. It has a small intimate but casual vibe. All of the service was outstanding.

Went for a wine dinner co-sponsored by The Aardvark Wine Shop. Great food—-all four courses (zucchini soup, prosciutto wrapped scallops, porchetta, and flourless chocolate tarts with fresh berries), were fabulous! Everything was perfectly cooked, moist, delicate use of herbs. Great evening!
