This tastes like Indian food just like they serve back in India. It is authentic, flavorful fresh food. I got lamb chops! And the meat is tender and marinated through and through. The galouti kebabs, just like the ones from Lucknow. I have never seen a galouti kebab on the menu anywhere in Columbus and I was presently surprised to find it here.

Taj definitely deserves 5 stars, I went to dine in there with my few friends on valentines day, food was so good and the way staff dedicated to ther service was awesome, they have unique fusion of American, Italian, Indian desserts which you must try, not to miss seeing owner of the restaurant himself getting into kitchen and preparing food for us with love was something magical to witness. I definitely recommend this restaurant for someone who are looking to try south asian cuisine in American style..

Many dishes seem to attempt to use spicy to make up for a lack of real flavor. Biryani was more of a Pulao. Unreasonably expensive for the quality. Chai tastes like off the shelf chai powder or flavoring in watered down milk, not real chai.
Came once. Did not enjoy the food. Came again incase that was a one off, but it doesn't seem to be. I strongly do not recommend

Taj on Fifth is a fantastic Indian restaurant with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well prepared, and the quality really stood out.
The curated cocktails were surprisingly good, and the bartender was incredibly helpful—especially when it came to recommendations and guiding us through the menu. That made the decision-making process easy and enjoyable.
The food was definitely the highlight, and even the kids enjoyed their meals, which says a lot. Overall, it was a great dining experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m visiting from out of town and Taj on Fifth was a highlight of my trip! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting its perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends and family.
The food was phenomenal. Every dish I tried was rich with authentic flavor and beautifully balanced spices. The butter chicken was creamy and tender, the garlic naan was fresh and perfectly fluffy. You can tell everything is prepared with care and real expertise.
Service was attentive and friendly without being pushy, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It felt like they genuinely cared that me and my family was having a great meal.
If you’re in the area and looking for amazing Indian food, Taj on Fifth should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

We had a pickup order and the service was so friendly! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We told them we were celebrating a new baby in the family and the owner came chasing us out the door as we left to give us a celebratory bottle of wine.
