Subject: Formal Complaint of Discrimination
Dear Sir/Madam,
On July 31, 2025, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., at TeeJaye's Restaurant located at 4650 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214, United States, I was victim of racial discrimination by an employee. While politely inquiring about my order, the employee publicly humiliated me by making derogatory remarks related to my ethnic origin in front of several other customers.
This incident, as shocking as it was unacceptable, caused me profound emotional distress and violated my dignity. I do not want to return to that restaurant forever.

I fell in love with the terrible service and gravy smothered breakfasts back in the '90s. The new digs in Clintonville are more comfortable and they still offer free coffee refills if you can flag down an employee. Which you can't! How despicably quaint. Enjoy this Columbus classic!

Ordered 2 mac n cheeses and both looked and tasted like it was reheated in a microwave and one of them was cold in the middle. Sorry to be like that but if I'm spending a good amount of money at a restaurant, then I expect to have food that is fresh.

Whoever decided to take the down-home cooking of Tee Jayes, update the interior and add a cocktail menu was a GENIUS!!!! Food was great, our service was great and I loved the updated farmhouse vibe. Cornmeal pancakes will always be a fav!! Tee Jayes... Remodeled!!! We will certainly be back!!

If you want straightforward breakfast fare, this is it. Not a cozy place as they don't want you lingering. Hard seats, and it's cold by the windows, but a hot cuppa coffee helps. Food is fine the service is great.

Always a great time. Fast and friendly service. In the summer you can enjoy the patio. This Tee Jay's slightly different from the rest of the chain as it does serve alcohol. Menu is also updated. Our party had a wheelchair in it and we were able to navigate the space easily. Paying is simple as you can pay the waitress, pay at the counter, or scan the QR code on receipt and go.
