I fell in love with the terrible service and gravy smothered breakfasts back in the '90s. The new digs in Clintonville are more comfortable and they still offer free coffee refills if you can flag down an employee. Which you can't! How despicably quaint. Enjoy this Columbus classic!

Ordered 2 mac n cheeses and both looked and tasted like it was reheated in a microwave and one of them was cold in the middle. Sorry to be like that but if I'm spending a good amount of money at a restaurant, then I expect to have food that is fresh.

Whoever decided to take the down-home cooking of Tee Jayes, update the interior and add a cocktail menu was a GENIUS!!!! Food was great, our service was great and I loved the updated farmhouse vibe. Cornmeal pancakes will always be a fav!! Tee Jayes... Remodeled!!! We will certainly be back!!

If you want straightforward breakfast fare, this is it. Not a cozy place as they don't want you lingering. Hard seats, and it's cold by the windows, but a hot cuppa coffee helps. Food is fine the service is great.

Always a great time. Fast and friendly service. In the summer you can enjoy the patio. This Tee Jay's slightly different from the rest of the chain as it does serve alcohol. Menu is also updated. Our party had a wheelchair in it and we were able to navigate the space easily. Paying is simple as you can pay the waitress, pay at the counter, or scan the QR code on receipt and go.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly and a kids menu

We dined in. The potatoes were hard you couldn't eat them even with gravy on themselves. Kitchen should be checking these it was like they were from the bottom of the pan

In my younger years I worked in the southerner of Columbus and ate there a number of times. The food was good quality, good value and always served with a smile. TJ’s brought that same style to their north High street location. The coffee is not allowed to get cold, the service is friendly. Our server, Dorothy, made us feel as though we were regulars. I am a traditionalist when it comes to breakfast out. Two eggs over easy, crispy hash browns a breakfast meat, and if they have grits, I get mine buttered. Here’s what gives it a 5-star in food and service: the butter melted in the perfectly prepared grits; Dorothy brought them with everything; the eggs were just right; and the sausage links were perfect. The links were nicely browned, not dried out like so many other breakfast spots tend to do. The servings were large and the price was great. My partner ordered the cheesy grits and hot chicken. The grits were rich and ample, the chicken remained crispy with just the right with just the right amount Tabasco. With coffee, the bill came to 20% less than any other popular place.
