Food has always been consistently excellent.

All About My Art

Does this place even exist? Has it ever? Because I've showed up at least six times and there's just a dirt lot, an old weathered picnic table and some rusted-out smokers. No signs of life.

I don’t know if this place has an actual restaurant, but we had the food truck version. Very small proportions, they posted a picture on their Facebook of a Tex mac bowl (only reason why we stopped to try the food truck), and the lady didn’t even know what we were talking about. Very greasy, paid extra for the brisket on top and got very small and few pieces of it. Very small proportions for $16. Also the corn bread was very dry. We were standing at the window waiting to order and the lady taking orders just stood there talking very loudly and cussing at her coworker. Definitely do not remember the food truck version of this place.

Amazing! From the Brisket, baked beans, and don't get me started on the Crack cake. I will definitely be back.

By far the best Texas style BBQ in Columbus. As an Austin transplant, this place was so similar to Franklins in Austin it’s unreal. Props to the owner of this place. From the moment I rode my bicycle into their parking lot and the smell of their pits hit my senses, it was like I was back home. The deserts were spot on too! I’m most definitely returning!

My wife and I randomly tried this BBQ truck at Devil Wind Brewing yesterday, and I could not be happier about it. BBQ, particularly Texas style brisket, is one of my favorite foods, so I’m a little judgmental about quality. This stuff is the real deal.

I asked the owner if I could take a look at the brisket before buying some and he kindly obliged with a sample for not only me but also my wife and kid. I know that would maybe ruffle feathers of some other BBQ’ers, but this guy was all class about it. And then he went out of his way to make us a brisket taco and gave us a side of his homemade pickled tomatillo sauce which is uniquely delicious. My wife says she would go there just to buy that sauce.

This man’s hospitality and BBQ are top notch. We had a nice conversation with him about BBQ, kids, family life, and all the work that goes into that stuff. I can’t recommend this BBQ enough.

Lived down the street for about 3 years and stopped by for the first time today. Pulled pork was absolutely amazing, brisket and ribs were also fantastic. Cornbread was out of this world. But then the cake, the cake is just life changing. Everything about his place is an 11/10!

An absolute brisket experience with fair prices. They have variety of servings based on the main dish.

I paid 50 bucks on brisket and sausage, and after picking out all the fat, I was left with 1/4 of a pound of meat! The rest was fat! I just got robbed

Do NOT pass this place up!! This IS real TX BBQ!!! Im born and raised, from TX and in Columbus for work. I googled bbq and many places popped up. I assure you, NO oher place in Oh can compare with TEXAS STEELE BBQ. This is a guy from TX making REAL TX bbq with a passion!! I can promise you, Im a 6th generation Texan that grew up on Brisket, ribs, beans, mac n cheese that were made from scratch. Do NOT pass this place up. This is how all the big name BBQ places in Tx got started, a passion and a prayer. I WILL be back for this bbq, everytime Im in town. Much love, success and respect brother.

The brisket melts in your mouth, everything tastes amazing, and loved the cornbread and baked beans.

I tried lunch at their food truck today. I ordered a single meat plate which included two sides. The price listed on the menu was $14. When the order came up they charged me $15. When questioned why they said the macaroni and cheese had an extra charge of a dollar. On the menu board all sides were listed as $4 each including the macaroni and cheese. When a company is dishonest I can never recommend them. I would give them zero Stars impossible. Avoid this food truck. They are dishonest.

This spot nails the BBQ. The ribs are perfectly smoked with a true Texas style rub, and the sandwiches are outstanding. The smoked chicken is juicy, and the Roundup Sandwich, with brisket and Texas links, pairs beautifully with tangy coleslaw. Only complaint was the sides. The sides fall short. The mac and cheese was nearly inedible, the beans tasted canned with an odd mix of kidney beans and onions, and the cornbread, was so so. That said, the service was excellent, and the meats alone make it worth a visit. We’d return for the BBQ but skip the sides, unless it was just an off day. Recommended!
