The brisket melts in your mouth, everything tastes amazing, and loved the cornbread and baked beans.
This spot nails the BBQ. The ribs are perfectly smoked with a true Texas style rub, and the sandwiches are outstanding. The smoked chicken is juicy, and the Roundup Sandwich, with brisket and Texas links, pairs beautifully with tangy coleslaw. Only complaint was the sides. The sides fall short. The mac and cheese was nearly inedible, the beans tasted canned with an odd mix of kidney beans and onions, and the cornbread, was so so. That said, the service was excellent, and the meats alone make it worth a visit. We’d return for the BBQ but skip the sides, unless it was just an off day. Recommended!
I started going to Texas steel BBQ a few weeks ago. I was blown away. I love barbecue, particularly beef brisket. There’s is the best in Columbus by far. You have to make sure you watch the Facebook post regularly because locations can change the same day. Highly recommend 11 out of 10.

The Brisket & Rib is very tender the sauce is on the side. My personal prefence would have to had on the meat. Im not a fan of the sides. I was truly disapointed when the oner told me he makes the Southern Potato Salad homemade from scratch, this poatao salad isn't homemade, Sir it's store bought with u attemping to dr it up..... I gave 3 stars for the meat because it's done well. Never lie to a customer who can cook like a chef.......

Let's just say I DID NOT regret my decision to forgo my usual workday salad lunch for Texas Steele! I had the Mac Bowl with Brisket and a Cornbread Biscuit. The Mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, the brisket was melt in your mouth tender, and the sauce gave it just the right tang and kick. The cornbread biscuit was drizzled with honey, moist throughout, and overall also delicious. The portion size was great for the price and the people were super friendly which I always appreciate! I will definitely be a returning customer!

Wow! I finally found the best BBQ in Ohio. Coming from Nashville my expectations have always been high. Texas Steele is the real deal. Highly recommend. My hats off to the chef, the ribs and brisket were very tender and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend. 5 Stars!
I got the two meat plate (brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese). This is the best bbq I’ve ever had and I’ve had southern bbq many times. It’s so tender it falls apart. The sauce is amazing (sweet and spicy) but you don’t even need it. 10/10 go get some. They know what they’re doing.

Unless I've suddenly gotten covid, and I can't taste anything, this food truck is a terrible example of texas BBQ. Underseasoned brisket + ribs, ribs feel like they've only been hit with pepper and then steamed. Any "smoke ring" on the ribs from here appears to be the result of nitrates and artificial coloring, and not the result of ever seeing any actual smile.
The brisket is certainly better and more flavorful than the ribs, but most of that comes purely from the fact that beef is just a more flavorful meat. That's about all I can say about this food truck - it's meat.
The mac and cheese was gritty and mostly flavorless, the corn bread needed something, butter maybe.
Am I missing something?

Maybe the best BBQ I've ever had last night at Edison Brewery. Texas Steele BBQ was huge surprise and I will not only track them down again, but I will bring them to our neighborhood next summer. The Brisket was so flavorful with a nice peppery bark, just the right amount of fat, and moist thru and thru. The ribs were great and the meat just fell off the bone. The unexpected find might have been the braised oxtail...OH MY! None of the meats even neede sauce on them. Even the sides were good...I had the Texas Toast, Baked Beans and Honey Cornbread. Tremendous job and great friendly engaging service. It's food like this that will keep me from ever becoming a Vegan. Winner!
