This evening my husband and I met my cousins at The Tavern for dinner. Once again another outstanding meal and outstanding server. I so wish I could remember her name but she was so wonderful and very attentive to say the least. The general manager, Rachel as well is an absolutely amazing person. You can tell she genuinely cares for her customers and staff. We highly recommend you visit The Avenue in Grandview!
There for our anniversary. Wanted two glasses of champagne. They were out of the champagne that's available by the glass— no I do not prosecco instead. No we don't want an entire bottle of champagne. So no alcohol to celebrate. The bread rolls are normally fantastic. Tonight the texture was like they had been nuked to warm them. Such a disappointment. Scallops and steak were great. Overall disappointing.
Our server, Aubrey was great! The food was excellent and prepared perfectly. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
We had a fantastic experience at The Avenue Steakhouse in Grandview last night. The atmosphere was cozy and upscale without feeling stuffy, and the service was attentive and personable from start to finish. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The sides and cocktails were just as impressive, and everything came out at a perfect pace. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion. We'll definitely be back!
100/10 experience from the second we walked in to when we walked out. Amazing food, service and vibe. We had our two school aged kids with us and our server was amazing with them!
Got the hanger steak and halibut special and had a side of Brussels. Everything was great and the dirty martinis were good as they use real blue cheese in the olives and not the fake gritty cheese found in most. Wasn't our first time and we'll be back again. Specialty bourbon prices were laughable but that was the only negative. Service was great.
Yusef was THE best!!!! The Avenue is our very favorite place to celebrate or share a date night!
All of our Steks, 7 were undercooked! Fairly disappointed in the temp of the steaks. My group was not one to make a scene or cause any tension during our meal, so they chose not to discuss it last night. Just wanted you to be aware. I frequent the Avenue often, love your establishment. Hope this is helpful.
We picked this place on a whim wanting to celebrate my husband’s graduation, and it was phenomenal. We compare every steak we eat now to The Avenue. The service was top tier and the drinks and food were to die for! We will definitely be back.
We sat on the Patio, had an amazing bubbly server and the food was amazing!

Yusef is the best server! The Ave. never disappoints. One of the best restaurants in town.
We visited for our anniversary dinner on a Sunday (which was also Father's Day) at 6:30pm. We walked in just before 6:30 and were told it would be “just be a moment” for our table. At 6:45pm, a different hostess came to ask us “although we booked a reservation for outside, did we still want to be seated outside”, I said whichever comes first. At 6:55pm we were finally seated...outside! Although we did see a few tables open inside the entire time we were waiting. Our server Brady, was absolutely wonderful - went above and beyond, and brought us each a glass of champagne after he heard we were out celebrating. The food was delicious, shrimp cocktail for appetizer followed by Caesar salads and for the main course, twin filets with parsley potatoes and the steak frites, and of course dessert, the cobbler and crem brûlée. I was very disappointed with the long wait, and no apology for the wait. I also work in food industry so understand the hang ups of wait times for certain sections, or servers who need to go to break or clock out, etc. The food and server made up for the poor experience with the host staff.
We come to the Ave at least 6 times a year. Today wasn't great. For 4 people, we were there well over 2 hours. The server left us for 25+ minutes at a time. Drinks were empty, steak was real rare, instead of med rare, (unfortunately it was chewy) no bread without asking. I get a bad night, but absolutely everything took 25+ minutes. It was empty when we arrived, and watched a bunch of tables (4 tops) come and go while we're waiting.
I ate at the Avenue last night with friends. The food was delicious, but the staff conduct was outstanding.
Something happened with a customer who was perhaps drunk or under the influence, but the server and manager and Grandview police acted with such grace and kindness toward the customer', who obviously was in distress.
Complements to all those involved.
Ceasar salad, creamed spinach, salmon and ribeye are fantastic
