The Capital Grille

From start to finish, my experience at The Capital Grillee was top tier. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable — very demure and refined. Every dish was perfectly executed: the steak was cooked to perfection with multiple sauce options, the lamb chops tender and flavorful, and the lobster and potatoes were simply divine. Even the Brussels sprouts were incredible.

The appetizers set the tone — crispy calamari and warm, fresh bread that melted in our mouth. Dessert was the perfect sweet finish. The drinks were expertly crafted by Thomas — refreshing, balanced, and with just the right buzz. He knew each dish inside and out, very informative!

Adam on the service? Impeccable. Attentive without being intrusive, professional yet personable. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. We will be back!

The Capital Grille is now our favorite steakhouse in Columbus. Truly Outstanding cuisine, service and atmosphere. On par with some of the best restaurants we visited around the world.

Special thanks to Greg and to all the staff at the restaurant who took care of us and made this a dinner to remember. Well done!

Of note, the au poivre peppercorn crusted NY strip was absolutely delicious, sides were great and cocktails superb. The atmosphere is modern, pleasant and very welcoming. We look forward to returning to the Capital Grille again soon. 5/5

My experience here was nothing less than excellence. This was my second time stopping by with my family since the summer and I was very happy to say my view of the place did not change. The service was great and the food was mouth watering. The coconut cream pie was a big hit for our family. I’m not a big coconut fan but this desert made me rethink my tastebuds. Managers were all great and the place was in excellent condition. The only thing that changed since our last visit was our specific experiences. In the summer we met this young server assistant named Nathan Griffin and he was such a delight to talk to! We’ve been to capital grilles in the past but we’ve never met a server assistant like him. He even explained and recommended dishes to us! We sadly missed him our last visit but hope to see him again soon! We can’t wait till we stop by again for the holidays. I would recommend this place to anyone around the area looking for a delicious elegant night out!

My girlfriend and I drove an hour and half to get away from local dining and we decided to try Capital Grille. Let me tell you, I've never had an restaurant treat us as amazing as they did! The food was amazing, the service our waiter and the manager were all top notch! We will be recommending them to everyone and we will definitely be back!!!

We went to Capital Grille for dinner because our lunch there was exceptional. Dinner…not so much. It was disappointing. Our waiter was not kind, almost rude. We all felt it, but couldn’t figure out why. It was unpleasant. The food was just okay. They charged me $45 for a small piece of salmon with nothing else. Just one single small piece. I was stunned. We would not go back. I wish I had taken photos. The $11 baked potato was a baked potato. It was fine. Everyone else’s meals were the same. Just okay. Disappointing for dinner.

So glad we came in tonight after dropping our daughter off at The Ohio State University after fall break. The staff is amazing and the GM (Matt) took extra care of us. BTW…. The 10 oz Filets were the best we’ve had in Cbus. Can’t wait to return!!!!

This was an amazing experience. The service is top tier.
But even better is the food, wow. We had the French onion soup, which was outstanding. We both ordered filets, which were very flavorful and melt in your mouth tenderness. The au gratin potatoes and grilled asparagus sides were the perfect sides to compliment out dinners. We finish with the coconut creme pie, which was house made, drizzled with a carmel sauce - heavenly.
Servings are good sized, so bring your appetite!

Matthew Wilson is the best, we drove 2.5 hours yesterday from Cleveland here, because my daughter’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed it. Food and service are always phenomenal, will definitely be back when we come to visit 😃 thank you!

Stopped for a late lunch. It was fantastic. Ordered the Grand Plateau with Jumbo Lump Crab, North Atlantic Lobster, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters on the Half Shell. Everything was done to perfection. Patrick was our sever who was great. Perfect meal for a fall afternoon. I love the a.biance of this restaurant. Each time we have dined here it was well worth the cost. Great value and highly recommended fine dining location.

Wow! Dining at The Capital Grille in Columbus, Ohio has always been an amazing experience, and we'll definitely keep coming back. The food is absolutely spectacular. Chef Alex's dishes are always perfectly prepared with fresh, flavorful ingredients that never disappoint. The customer service is exceptional and makes every visit feel special. Joe always greets us with a warm smile, and our server Jordan is friendly and attentive, making sure everything is perfect. And the new managing partner, Matt, is one of a kind— welcoming, knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely cares about every guest. It's clear he's going to do great things here. We're already looking forward to our next unforgettable meal!

I enjoyed a Friday business lunch at the bar and what a pleasant surprise and great experience we had. First, the food was delicious. From the cold seafood appetizer to the wagyu beef burger, everything that was served was top quality and well
prepared. Second, the service at the bar was so fun and over the top high end that we could help but leave a big tip. Finally, the atmosphere was that of any high end steakhouse but with a fun flare brought about by the staff. Kiki at the bar was great and the layout made for a nice convenient 6 person lunch conversation where everyone could see each other and interact.

We went for the first time for a business lunch. The inside is beautiful. The food was all exceptional. The portion sizes were much larger than I expected. I had the french onion soup and salad. I couldn't finish it. Our server, Adam, was great. We were having active and engaged conversations. He was attentive without interruption. All around Adam made the experience even better. I'm excited to go back.
