Would not recommend for DnD groups, especially on karaoke night. :-) The table is located next to the stage, and it's impossible to play when that's going on. I know a place is limited by building geography, but maybe locate that table elsewhere where it's a little more quiet. Our group felt a little hassled as well. The management is a little fussy. The gentleman took it upon himself to interrupt our game. He came over, picked up someone's dice container --- a clear nalgene bottle --- examined it, and then gave us a short lecture on how a nalgene bottle shouldn't be in there...even though it was clearly full of dice. Awkwardly, he dropped the subject and left. It was just a fussy move. Considering how much we were spending on food and drink as a group, he probably shouldn't have done that...especially once he saw what it was. And he probably shouldn't have just walked up and grab it off the table. The food is Ok but overpriced for what you get. In a place like this, you're paying for the atmosphere, but the vibe from management diminished it a bit. Bottom line, we didn't feel particularly welcome. The server was excellent.

The best board game bar in columbus! Lots of games to choose from, super friendly staff, and a huge mead selection that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Karaoke on Sundays is super fun, but super popular so beware of finding parking on Sunday evenings.

Very cool place. I stopped by in the afternoon and the staff were super friendly. I got the traditional chicken sandwich and it was surprisingly good. I will definitely stop back again when I’m in town 😎

Highly recommend! We went here recently on a Saturday to meet up with some college friends we hadn't seen in a while. None of us live nearby so it was kind of just a leap of faith based on internet reviews. We loved it and had a great time!! We went for dinner around 5pm and it was not crowded at all. Gave us plenty of time to talk and eat dinner, and then closer to maybe 6:30/7pm or so, it started to get more crowded. If you're getting there later on a Saturday, or during a special event, it would probably be best to make a reservation.
By the time we left, it was starting to get kind of loud, but it wasn't too bad. The atmosphere is so cool - loved the decor! I thought they had a great selection of games (we chose to play Codenames Pictures). If I lived closer, I'd probably be here every weekend!
Oh and the food was excellent as well!! Maybe the best chicken sandwich I've ever had, and the pretzel bites were really good too. The drinks were great - the server (I believe her name is Natalie and she was awesome!) recommended the cider and it was the perfect choice. We got multiple beers/cocktails each, so the total was more than if you just went for appetizers or just drinks, but I thought it was reasonable.
I'm so glad we found such a cool place for our little reunion - will definitely be back someday!

Parking sucks, but when you find a spot, they have a wonderful mead selection. Highly recommend a flight so you can try a bunch.

We absolutely love The Forge and it is such a good place to meet up with friends and just an evening of great food and fun games. I also greatly appreciate the low carb options on the menu!

We’ve been here a couple of times and every time the staff is so friendly and attentive.
It’s the perfect atmosphere for a chill game night. We gathered some friends for a game night recently and everyone liked their drinks and it’s awesome that they have good mocktails and NA options. The food we chose was more snacky (pretzels and pizza) but it was good and perfect to snack on as a group while playing games. We brought some of our own games and also played one from the library. There’s a huge selection. I also love the decor - it feels like you’re in a medieval tavern. The Forge Taven is a Columbus gem.
This place is cool! They have board games and the space to play them with friends. They have a nice food menu. Several televisions with movies of multiple nerdy-fandoms. A good selection of beer, mead, cocktails and MOCK-tails. Great service and the atmosphere is warm, friendly, but very relaxed. I look forward to my next visit.
This is a fun and unique place to make friends and try new things! I love that it’s local and you can get to know the staff. I am so happy we found it!
This is such a fun place to go, play a game, do Trivia or whatever. Really great place to relax with a pint.

It's a great place to go to with some friends!!
We traveled from Indiana to meet friends here and what a great experience! I am jealous there is no place local to me like this.
As soon as you walk in, you're happily greeted by many staff.
There are many large tables for groups as well as several 4 top tables. The games... So many! Of course you can bring your own but their selection is incredible!
We had cocktails, the blood witch was my favorite! We had food as well. I enjoyed the bacon jam flatbread. The staff was attentive throughout our stay. Much appreciated!
Will definitely go back when we visit again!
Don’t make the mistake of showing up on an event night. Non-ticket holders are harassed at the door with drink and food orders prioritized towards the event rather than other customers. Our server all but disappeared after taking our order. Had to flag down a different employee to check on our food order that was literally not being processed. Great venue but the owners need to maintain awareness of all customers not just those attending special events.
Great place! Food and drinks are awesome. The games are free to play.
What's not to love? Drinks. Food, and games galore!! Casual, warm, accepting environment.
