We had an incredible experience when we were in town for the Arnold. We made an unplanned decision to have lunch at The Guild House and couldn’t have been more impressed, by not only the food, but their incredible hospitality. They’re doing right.

Like all Cameron Mitchell restaurants, the ambiance is on point with a rustic-chic vibe, of exposed wooden beams, jade chandeliers and full, street-facing windows. It definitely gives the feeling of big city, fine dining in Short North Columbus.Again, like all Cameron Mitchell restaurants, the food and service are always wonderful. While the menu has changed over the years, there always seems to be some duck entree variation and as someone typically averse to gamey meats, these dishes are always delicious.Pictured: lemon poppyseed cake & cronut with sweet potato cream

I surprised my daughter with a trip to Columbus Ohio to attend a concert. I made reservations at the Guild House for breakfast. It was honestly one of my top breakfast experiences. First of all the restaurants stunning! Beautiful glass chandeliers hanging with amazing woodwork. This would be a great spot for a romantic dinner! On to breakfast..it was so tasty! The menu offer some unusual offerings. We decided to give them a try. We started with the juice which sounded so refreshing! This called carrot sunrise. It is a combination of green apple, ruby red grapefruit and ginger. It was just as refreshing as it sounds highly recommend starting with this! I ordered the smoked chicken hash and my daughter ordered the truffled eggs. The smoked chicken hash was outstanding- the combination of flavors was amazing. I loved this dish and highly recommend. My daughter's truffled eggs were outstanding as well. I recommend you be a little adventurous while dining here and try something new. I would love to have dinner here. Maybe another trip to Columbus Ohio!

It's a YES for me, Dawg. Fabulous quality food. Amazing ambiance. Not trying to do TGIFriday's Happy Hour Need someplace UPSCALE and this is it. When I'm in town for business every month, this is a regular spot.

It was my partner and I’s first time in and we had an amazing experience. The food was great and our server, Seth, was super helpful. We’re already planning our next trip back !

The vibe is great! Relaxed & elevated. The sweet potato rolls are always a great choice!

Plain simple the cost of food is not with the quality . I do t mind paying for how much as we did about $200 for two of us but the food is not that good for $200 bill for two people. Ambience is good , service is ok and the drinks are ok too, again just good food but not as good for how expensive it is so I'm not coming back .

A wonderful ambience and delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts. I liked the smaller portion sizes too.

Guild House is definitely a place for a classy dinner or night out. The wooden interiors and chandeliers created a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. They also have a fully stocked bar with a wide selection of drinks. The Brussels sprouts were a good appetizer to start with. Slightly on the too-tender side but still very flavorful with pecans adding a nice flavor and texture to the dish. The scallops were cooked really well- very tender with a slight crust and subtle crunch from the veggies. I appreciated how it didn't feel too heavy at all and the mashed potatoes helped fill the portion. The lamb chops were very delightful. Super flavorful- the portion is a bit small since it's an appetizer but the fried rice paired with it helps to complement the dish. They had both Wagyu and filet steak - both were solid options as well if you are a meat lover. The filet came with a carrot and interesting looking block of mashed potatoes while the wagyu came with mushrooms and cheese. The pork dish was tender as well. The flavors were not as strong so it would be a milder, healthy option. Our server was very friendly but we sometimes had a hard time locating him. It was a fairly busy so it could be that he was doing other tasks. Since it's on short north, street parking or the parking garage nearby would be the best options!

The server was nice. The coffee was good. My eggs were runny. For a place like this, eggs should not be runny. Gross. The steak was cooked as asked. The potates were good.My brothers lobster was chewy and over cooked.

I chose this restaurant for a special occasion. Our waitress was fabulous. However, when they started delivering the food it seemed unorganized and our first experience with the manager Abby was that she took a plate of eggs that had been set on the table and didn't even explain why she took them. My food was cold, and frankly, all of the dishes looked as if they had been sitting for a bit. I didn't complain, but my husband mentioned it to the waitress. I confirmed that I didn't expect any compensation, and I didn't want anything else. Honestly, when your food is cold, what can be done that doesn't hold up the rest of the table from eating. However, the manager Abby showed up at our table. She was argumentative and rude even when I was stating that I didn't expect compensation. My daughter has been in the industry for over 30 years as a manager, and she and everyone at the table agreed that Abby was rude and patronizing. I approached Abby and stated that again before she showed up at the table, I had no expectations of compensation, but I felt the need to inform her of how inappropriate she behaved. This woman should not be in the industry, let alone a manager. She did comp my meal, but it's really a mute point when this has to be done because it means the restaurant has failed. It's unfortunate to have such a failure in management like Abby because I'm sure this has happened before and will again. Abby, being in charge, failed on every level, from overseeing the production of the food to its delivery and topped it off with a serving of rude.
