Went to The Keep this weekend for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. I have been to the keep before and it was very good. However, last Saturday the food was average, the service was also average, and the atmosphere was disappointing. We had a clear view of the kitchen and staff was on their phones and complaining they still had hours of their shift left. Verbatim we heard the waitress say “I don’t want to be here anymore I want to go to the club”. When we first sat down we got a bottle of wine and ordered an appetizer. We were rushed at that time to put in our dinner order as well and then we never received our appetizer. We were not charged for the appetizer so this was not a big deal however, the experience was very disappointing, especially for a birthday dinner.

In all previous experiences The Keep has been fabulous, but terrible this time! While we arrived 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time, the man told us to go sit down and wait and he'd get us in 15 minutes (I do understand this), but we never saw him again even thought right at the hostess stand. We were never asked again to be helped, we tried to get the attention of staff after waiting 30 minutes (now 15 minutes after our scheduled time). Finally we get seated, we got 1/2 glass of water and they ran out, said there'd get us more when they picked up our mixed drinks. The food came out wrong. While there was only 2 in the party, my friend was specific that she had Celiac Disease (needed gluten free) and they brought out fries that weren't ordered and had not been prepared in a dedicated fryer. They took them back, scraped them off the plate, and returned the steak to her. This can't happen! Really sad about everything that occurred at this restaurant because it's been a beloved staple when we go downtown. Disappointed to say the least!

We attended Easter Brunch buffet at The Keep. Overall the staff did a wonderful job and I was impressed. The service was friendly and attentive, the food quality was very good, in fact it exceeded my expectations for a large holiday buffet. Everything was well prepared, fresh and delicious. The kitchen staff was frequently refilling and freshening all the food options. Everything was kept neat, hot and nicely garnished throughout our experience. Side note - the Leveque is beautiful and worth a visit for the art deco architecture. The restaurant and bar are appointed with a moody, speakeasy vibe that seems a tad worn - though hard to get a feel for the scene on a bright, Sunday morning.

Overall, good not great for Easter brunch. The ambience was cool, food was decent with a variety of foods and great carving station, but but the service was lacking. We had several mix ups with drinks (was told there was no bartender?) and errors with charges which still aren't resolved.

Pretty decent meal. Was hoping the Brussel sprouts were a bit sweeter, but they were good. The Gouda Mac and cheese was as described. The steak frites was decent, not anything special but not bad. Good room service option at the hotel

I knew the Keep had changed since we first came here...so I kept my expectations in check. (When we first came here a few years ago it was amazing!!) Menu is limited to begin with, and then two main courses listed on the menu were not available at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. (No specials were offered in their stead.) I want to love this place but I'm not sure when we'll be back. It's not bad, but it needs to be better.

Unable to rate food although menu looked great. Sat and not acknowledged or serviced for 10 minutes. We left.

The short review is that this place is gorgeous but the food and service was really underwhelming. Drinks- delicious! I loved my French 75 with rosé and the espresso martini was good as well. Appetizers- Brussel sprouts were delicious, smoked gouda mac was good as well. French onion soup was on the salty side for me. I got a chicken caesar salad because they were out of the two things I wanted, the mussels and the ravioli. The chicken, despite being very thin, was still somehow undercooked. I would have mentioned it if our waitress came over to ask (everyone was completely out of water, incorrect utensils, etc.) but she clearly had too many tables to take care of in her section. Steak frites was really, really, REALLY salty. like almost unbearable. Ordered medium rare and honestly don't mind pretty pink but there were sections where the only cooked part was the outside and it was completely raw. Just overall disappointing based on expectations, for the price point this was not at all worth it. Would come back for drinks though!

We came for dinner before the show. Unlike our last visit, the service was much faster. The prior time I think they were just unintentionally understaffed. What a nice place to come. Will definitely come back.

My husband had scallops & pork belly with Rosotto and it was horrible. The Rosotto was so hard it was not edible. 3 small scallops & 2 small chunks of pork belly, left my husband not wanting to return. My hamburger & fries was very good. Definitely a greasy bar burger but hubby ate 1/2 of it. If you go for drinks I high recommend. For dinner, save your money!!

I've enjoyed past dinners at the Keep but was disappointed last night with both the service and value. Entrees were fine but I found the appetizers, salads, desserts and beverages overpriced and underwhelming. I hope things improve as this is a great location for a pre-concert dinner.

A symphony pre-concert meal. We has delicious French cocktails prior to dinner in the fashionable bar area overlooking the hotel lobby. Service was attentive but not over burdensome. The food was well prepared, presented and flavorful. The wine list was adequate and yet could be enhanced to be less corporate.

A group of 6 made lunch reservations for a coworker who was leaving the firm. The entire lunch was amazing from start to finish! Our server was very attentive and we never had to ask for anything. She anticipated our every need. We do not get a chance often to all go out together so we were very pleased that we had such a great experience. We even stayed 15 minutes past our lunch hour!! The food was delicious and plentiful. We all left with a "doggy bag". They don't skimp!! Treat yourself and put The Keep on your go to lunch list.

This was the first time all 4 of us had been to The Keep. I originally had an account joining us but they made other plans. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, menu and service. I would return and bring business colleagues.
