The food was really good but what made it bad was the service. We ordered our food and we're waiting. 6 people behind us got their food before us [20 mins] when we asked they forgot to give our order to the kitchen but tried to play it off or not apologize.

If I could give negative stars I would. From terrible parking, to attitudinal service, to over priced and under sized portions. All negative. Maybe the attitude IS New York style: rude and inattentive. When a person has one simple request: no pickles, it seems pretty simple. NO PICKLES ON MY SANDWICH. that's not a hard request. Atmosphere was small. Seats were hard and unviting. Drink menu had no fountain drinks, yet a bottle was was expensive. Order taker assumed I had been there numerous times, pressured me to order. The menu did not , even remotely, mirror their on line website menu. Maybe the owners wanted to give us ' Midwesterners ' a taste of New York: rude, overpriced, and over advertised. This place could offer me 10 free bagels and I wouldn't accept. Is it so difficult to be "nice, attentive, and get the order right"? Strike one. Strike two. Strike three. You're OUT!

Bagels are great no doubt. Giving 3 stars because afterwards I was standing by the kitchen and multiple employees were wiping their faces + touching checkout screens etc and then handling bagels even after they were out of the fire oven with no gloves. Not only is it just gross, it’s a food safety issue.

Love the lox and bagels here, Parking for this place is a BIG HUGE problem. I have gone down there 7 times and only ended up eating/ordering there twice! I was so looking forward to lox and bagels but was so frustrated with the parking situation. DoorDash won’t even mess with this restaurant because they have no place to park while park while waiting for the food.

Excellent place for breakfast. I stopped here to grab the lox bagel and, despite the long wait, I didn't regret it. It was absolutely delicious - fresh bread, fish and capers did their job! Nice interior and tables in the green shaded area outside.

The fried potatoes are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! It’s like a little fried mashed potato triangle and it’s so delicious. Love the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel <3
Got food poisoning from this place with another friend. I got each of us a lox bagel and we both developed very bad stomach problems later. We don’t even live close to each other and that was the last meal we had together. He also developed body ache and shivering in addition to stomach issues, and I had very bad diarrhea for multiple days.
Has anyone else ever developed stomach problems after visiting this place? Please like this comment if you do.

Great atmosphere, ordered a BEC on everything bagel and a herb bagel with chive cream cheese. Only thing lacking from east coast bagels is the size but tastes delicious! I’m not even a huge bacon person and this bacon was unreal. Bring your own hot sauce if you want it :)

Lox has taken the best elements of a NYC bagel and a Montreal bagel and fused them into a ring of perfection. These bagels best some of the legendary NYC bagel shops with a bagel that tastes amazing with cream cheese or in one of their egg or meat sandwiches. There is a lot of care and love that goes into these bagels and it shows. The service is friendly and welcoming and the coffee is Little Wolf Coffee from Ipswich MA, it's outstanding. Don't sleep on the fried potatoes, they are mind-blowingly good. I'm feel so lucky to have a place like The Lox in my town, it's everything a good restaurant should be.

The sea salt and her bagel is soooo good! And if you're there around lunch time looking for a sandwich, I highly recommend the Cuban. It was perfect.
