Best brisket in Columbus. The Budd Dairy location has been the best one yet!
Got a response from the owner saying Parsons was closed early because of a staff shortage and Clintonville is busy so they run out of food and there is a chicken shortage in the world. MY REVIEW WAS NOT FOR THE FOOD ONLY THE LACK THERE OF. we wanted to go because of how good it looked and the awesome reviews. ??♀️??♀️??♀️
Omg Their barbecue fried chicken there yams the macaroni cheese is so good I found my new spot in Columbus
Food was great and service was amazing. I wanted to leave a larger tip because I had limited cash and to my dismay I was told that the tip you leave with your card goes to the restaurant, not the employees. Due to my profession, I’m strongly opposed to this practice and that’s why I left 3 stars. It’s unfortunate because this is definitely something the owners could correct. I’ll keep this in mind moving forward.Edit: Since I am unable to respond to one of the owners diatribes, all I can say is that you can’t justify a restaurant taking a staff’s tips. When I go to any establishment I anticipate that the money go to the people who are kind enough to serve me, not the owners or wherever else you claim it goes. At this particular establishment I’ve seen staff come and go, so maybe your practices could be why. Many other restaurants do not work this way. I have friends, family and clients who do or have worked in the food industry who rely on their tips. It’s truly sad to see a black establishment doing this and then trying to justify this. I do truly wish your establishment luck!
I order on door dash alot and I'm always looking for a good soul food spot and I gotta say this place right here..... THE BEST IN COLUMBUS!! Has become me an my youngest daughter favorite spot. Definitely will be having something catered in the future. Koodoes to the owner an chef ???? food is delicious.
We have been to the Parsons Avenue location 3 different Sundays between noon and 6 pm and it was closed. Willing to drive to Clintonville location, but when trying to call and place an order, continually got voice mail. Poor way of doing business, which is unfortunate because the food is five-star delicious!
This is the BEST food on the south side! Generous portions, hot/fresh and their customer service is Topnotch.
I had the best BBQ wings & Mac n cheese I've ever had in my life. the beef brisket was slammin'.
I ordered my food on line. I went to go pick it up. A gentleman that was standing behind me was allowed to get in front of me and pay for his order. The woman at the counter call me up their first... I was in line first..Smh. keep in mind i was one of their first people to buy food off them at the Parsons location. I felt it had something to do with race ....SMH.... Sadly to say i will never be going back there ever.
Bummed they were out of brisket due to the busy holiday weekend, but at least that meant I got a chance to try the Polish girl! Excellent meats, slaw, Mac and cheese and cornbread. Very friendly and knowledgeable service - can't wait to stop back to sample the brisket.

Had the cole slaw, brisket sandwich, and Mac and cheese. Cole slaw was not what I expected but in a good way. Looked like collard greens but with sauce on it. Tasted amazing. Mac and cheese was excellent. Chunks of bacon and multiple cheeses. The brisket sandwich was the perfect amount of sauce and had that "fall off the bone" texture to it.
The 1st time I went there (Clintonville) about a month ago, I got BBQ chicken and mac n cheese. Both delicious.
Not great.Ordered the sampler and a brisket sandwich for delivery and what we got was .The meat was terrible, 60% of it was fat and there was no quality in the cuts. The sausage was over cooked and not good. The sandwich was over sauced and a majority fat.Cornbread: 3/5 nothing to write home about.Beans: 2/5 tasted like the were poured out the can.Mac: 4/5 tasted the love in these.I will say, delivery is less then ideal so I’m going to head in to try it at location.
Ordered the Rib Tips and 2 sides. Let me tell you, BBQ perfection! The tips had perfect bark and the Pit Sauce was a great blend of sweet and spicy. I loved the browned top of the Mac & Cheese and the Baked Beans were another great mix of sweet and spicy! Will be back and will bring friends!
Great BBQ, amazing pulled pork, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, yams, greens, and cole slaw. Will definitely be back again!
