This was our initial dining experience at The Rossi, which we chose based on Google reviews. Firstly, our waiter claimed to be unable to recommend much on the menu, siting his “dietary restrictions” as the reason.(l) The food was good, not great or particularly memorable. The carbonara was good. My short rib ragu was ok. The veggies were a bit more crunchy than I prefer so I ate them all first and enjoyed the pasta/meat combo more. The sauce was good too. The big surprise came at the end of the meal. Neither coffee nor dessert was suggested or offered. When we then requested coffee, our waiter grimaced, and told us that THE ROSSI DOES NOT SERVE COFFEE AS A RULE and that we were “ in the wrong restaurant”. And, needless to say, decaf was out of the question.(Wow!) 2 items were available for dessert. The waiter made me a single cup of coffee by means of which I am unaware. No sweeteners or creamers were available, so I ordered a shot of Baileys from the bar and added it to my coffee. We were disappointed in The Rossi, and cannot recommend this restaurant which, for reasons unknown, does not serve coffee.
