I am surprised by the comments giving praise and wonder if my experience was an isolated incident. I give 2 stars instead of 1 only because staff was friendly. However, the staff were two younger guys who appeared to have very little experience. Just not very quick or efficient. Our fries came out well after we had our pitas and they were under cooked. Fries should have been dropped when ordered and not after we received our pitas in my opinion. I got the grilled chicken. This was the real deal breaker! The chicken was tough and had clearly been sitting far too long before being served cold. I will not be returning and I will not be able to recommend. We were the only people in the store. It was cold to the point of discomfort. There wasn't anything I enjoyed about my experience.

Good food and awesome people working there. With so many Mediterranean choices in such close proximity, it is refreshing to have The Simple Greek here.

I'll start with the best part - the tziki(sp?) is good. The guy who served me was nice enough although ordering through the glass was comical at best - way too difficult to hear for both of us, and I was the only customer in the store. The pita is rubbery. The hummus is bland. The falafel is dry, lacks flavor, and is really just gross. The avogolemon soup broth is nice but the chicken is over-cooked and rubbery/dry. I should have known when I walked in at 1 pm and there weren't any customers. Save yourself some frustration and money - I don't recommend this place.

Amazing Greek food. But the food wasn’t even the best part; the staff was phenomenal and walked us through the ordering process and really made the process seamless. We decided to sit down and dine in and they checked on us multiple times to make sure we were doing ok and even offered to take our trash when we finished. All that being said the Greek food itself was incredible and we even ordered more which they made and brought out to the table. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Just ordered from Simple Greek for the first time, and i gotta say Wow! Food was amazing, and they've got great prices too. I will be coming here a lot in the future.

I stopped in at approx. 6 p.m. on Saturday and ordered 2 gyro bowls to go and french fries. The gyro meat was cold and like thin pieces of leather. The cucumbers, etc. were not cut and too large unless you cut them. The sauce wasn't very good. The fries were not good at all. I don't believe any of it was fresh and had been sitting there for a day. Everything I purchased went into the trash. I will never return. If you want delicious gyro's try Funny Greek on Livingston or Go Go Gyro on Steltzer.

Don't waste your money. If you want worthy medditerian food, head right down the street to Mezza. I wish I hadn't bothered giving Simple Greek a try. Service left a lot to be desired and everything ended up being covered in olive oil. The meat was dry and the pita was subpar. Hummus side was also swimming in olive oil and lacked any flavor. Really just all around wasn't good.

I gave this place a try despite other negative reviews. Staff was very friendly. Nice interior and clean. Fast service due to lack of customers. However, food was poor. Bland. With the fast casual concept, the food sets too long if there are not sufficient customers -- this probably contributes. The meat was not flavorful. Tomatoes were not fresh. Unfortunately, with competitors such as Go Go Gyro, Nazareth Deli, Greek Express, and Mezze not too far away, they will likely have to up their game to even stay in business. I used the Local Flavor coupon for $20 of food for $10 and the sign-up 25% LocalFlavor savings on top of that. Even with all the coupons they've been running, I won't be back due to the food quality.

I was really rooting for this place. The menu seemed spot on to many traditional Mediterranean foods/toppings. I got some food for me and my boss during work. The food was unbearably salty. And I'm Middle Eastern so that says A LOT. The garlic sauce is what had me excited the most. If your Arabic/Greek restaurant has food garlic sauce than you are guaranteed success. It was incredibly salty with no hint of garlic. The vegetables were also not cut into small pieces ( such as the tomatoes and cucumbers) which would have been a plus if they had been. It's a great concept, a "chipotle " style gyro place to make your own bowls, salads, and gyros but it was poorly executed. This place could have great success they just need to tweak their recipes especially with the garlic sauce ( pretty please).

Stumbled across this restaurant when I went to drop off my laundry next door. When I walked inside the restaurant it was clean, open and had a cool setup. It had the feel of Chipotle in the sense that you create your own meal. The food was fresh, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I ordered the greek fries and made my own bowl. The fries were GREAT! I will definitely be back. Also, if you haven't been before I recommend trying the green beans, or any of the soups. You won't be disappointed.

I Just don't get it. Literally 3 better options within 2 blocks of here. They don't do one thing better than any of the other local Greek/Mediterranean. Service is slow and not welcoming, food is underwhelming at best. Hummus tastes like it comes from a can. Any grocery store hummus is better. It's confusing why they would pick this location with 3 established restaurants on North Hamilton rd. Idk??

Temperature of the restaurant was way too cold. Didn't feel truly Greek at all. Basically a spin on Chipotle's. Nothing special here.

We have been regular visitors first starting at grandview location, Powell location, kanawha location, now Hamilton road (atleast 5 times since opening). Today was very disappointing. Arrived a few minutes after opening with my 2 children. They always eat the chicken and rice so we share. Mom style I order a side of grilled veggies - always delicious and a small fry - they were perfectly hot and crisp. The biggest factor was the rice and pita - clearly leftover from yesterday being served today. Rice was hard and shriveled like rice that was cooked day before and heated but not thoroughly. My kiddos were starving, this is there favorite so after I had taken a few bites, took mental note of hard rice, I then noticed they had stopped eating, when I asked if they thought the rice was hard , both agreed. I told them not to worry, went to counter the young manager or guy acting as management offered to replace with fresh rice .... ummm we were supposed to have "fresh rice" from the beginning right? The fresh rice was much much better. Unfortunately we didn't dive in the second round of rice since we were turned off the first round. Taking a break for awhile, maybe just a suggestion but please consider throwing end of day rice away - it's really not going to break the bank to make a fresh batch next day. One last add, we have hour drive home, went to utilize restroom and it was out of order. Definitely topped our experience this visit

The chicken and traditional Greek gyros were great with really fresh ingredients. Cut fries a little over done but we're good too. Portion size for your money was excellent.
