*********I FEEL ROBBED**********

I want to give them two stars but I'm giving them three because I've had some good experiences. I've ordered the crab rangoon Pizza which I've had many times. Unfortunately their food is very very inconsistent the first couple of times it was great it was thick had lots of crab had a very distinct crab rangoon flavor. The next time you come back the whole pizza is burnt obviously burnt shouldn't have put it in the box because it's visibly and smells burnt. I called and I asked them hey what's going on the man says oh well we've been having problems with our oven. If you're having problems with your oven and the pizza is getting burnt which is the whole reason people come to you you should close and get it fixed not sell sub par product to people!!!
So I hadnt messed with them for a few months because of these type of shenanigans. So I ordered today. I ordered the crab rangoon Pizza with the honey and all the little toppings that come on in. I also ordered two pepperoni pizza squares with all the little honey and toppings on it. The pepperoni pizzas had none of the extra toppings on top and neither did the crab rangoon. To make it worse the crab rangoon pizza was essentially just a cheese pizza at this point because it was cheese all the way through the center with no crab I'm going to show you a picture and then a dollop of crab along the corner. Totally different than it was before it shouldn't be called a crab rangoon Pizza because it has no flavor and virtually no crab.

Staff is nice when I talked to them.
I've not written a review in the past but when you spend $40 and get horrible FOOD!!!

I had them under the original owner and it was awesome and I’ve had them under the new ownership and it’s been awesome. Most recently, they remade me a pizza that got stolen from a dishonest UberEats driver and sized it up for me. This is a locally owned business that deserves your business!

Hello. I am not usually one to complain however we were very disappointed with our food quality this time.

My family ordered a rectangle vodka pie with pepperoni on half. It came delivered with pepperoni on the whole thing and there is very little vodka sauce which makes the pie.

We also ordered a square rainbow and there is very little sauce/pesto on it and the corners are burnt to a crisp.

Not sure if the restaurant was busy this evening or what but this is not the quality we've come to enjoy from your brand.

I'd like to see if we could get credited with a "re-do" on our next order. I tried to email the address on the website privately rather than leaving a public review but I got a bounce back.

Thanks!

Tried Wizard of Za for the first time this past weekend after receiving a few recs. I really was hoping this would be my new go to spot, but sadly that likely won’t be the case.

I showed up and paid for my order, Supreme Pizza and a side of Garlic Knots. After waiting about 15 minutes to receive my order, I was then told that they ran out of garlic knots. The kid behind the counter gave me free cookies instead which I said was fine, since it was only a few bucks.

When I got home I took a bite of my pizza and immediately realized there was 0 sauce on the pizza. No idea how they forgot this. I’ve tried to email the address listed on their website multiple times but keep getting a bounce back message. I also tried to message them on Instagram but received no response.

I’m happy to take this comment down and am willing to try Wizard of Za a second chance in the future, I just really want to be refunded for not getting what I paid for.

Arrived hot and fresh. Crab Rangoon pizza has more crabby goodness on each slice than a whole order or carry out crab rangoon- delicious! The crust is light and airy with the right amount of crispness. Topping were great and of a high quality. We'd definitely order from here again.

Not what it once was. The crust used to be thick but airy and light. Now it is either literally raw in the middle or very thin. I have been a patron here for years and I think I’m just in denial that it’s not the same anymore. When they introduced the personal pizzas I thought surely this will fix the raw dough issue due to more surface area touching the pan relative to the middle. That’s been true about 50% of the time. I ask for my pizza well done every time. About half of the time it is raw in the middle despite being well cooked on the edges. I don’t even know how it’s possible to achieve that result. I think I need to find a new favorite place because the consistency in the quality of the product is just absolutely not there anymore.

Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available (eg cheese pizza) but just know that they use the same knife and cutting board to cut up pizzas with and without meat.

Parking: Several parking spaces are available on site in front of the building.

Edit: 2 years later I thought I’d try again, based on my son getting a good ‘za. But the pepperoni pizza was still just average. My son agreed, saying they forgot to add the hot honey or added cheeses we requested, which apparently helps a lot.

Original: It’s *fine*. It’s OK. Nothing special. Certainly nothing to wait a week for, and you can do far better in Columbus for a $25 pizza. Pepperoni tasted good, but the sauce had little flavor. I was at least excitedly anticipating this sesame crust I read reviews about, but our crust turned out to be very plain dough.

Update: July 1 posting

I had a hankering for a personal pizza. It had to be good. I recently learned WoZ makes a 6x6 square. I placed my order over the phone after having data signal issues (unable to place an online order). Bryce was very well spoken and professional on the phone. He worked with me to pick-up right at my arrival time according to GPS. This way the pizza was fresh out of the oven!

The kitchen was spotless, organized and smelled wonderful! Bryce was short-handed after a call-off, but had everything top-notch.

Order from here and request Bryce make your pizza. He used the perfect amount of each ingredient and topped it off with great service.

Thanks, WoZ and Bryce!

Food truly made from scratch requires so much on the back-end we never see, or possibly know. Columbus needs/wants an exceptional and skilled pizza joint.

I purchased the Vodka sauce pie. $23 is very fair, especially considering the amount of work, dedication and detail required for every single pizza. These aren’t pizzas made for $3. The ingredients are nurtured and cared for to create something you want to describe after the first bite, but you can’t, because it challenges your taste buds, which call in your endorphins looking for answers.

I shared this with 2 friends. We unintentionally took our time with each piece. Creating pizza and any food quite frankly, should be lawless when it comes to ingredients and creativity. Za’s pizza is a maverick gun for hire that never misses a shot.

The hot honey worked incredibly well with the sauce and it was the lightest piece of pizza I’ve had in my grasp.

Za’s sauce is so good it’s what you mention first, then over-and-over again to each person you nag to order NOW!!!

Thank you to the owner and staff for having the drive and guts to start what’s going to be one of the best things to happen in the Columbus food scene.

Definitely not a sit-down restaurant but I thought the personal sized pizza was delicious and had the ideal texture for what it was. They, for some reason, have a list of specialty pizzas on the wall with no description, so definitely not a place that expects walk-in customers. Figure out your order beforehand or order online for ideal experience.

Odd tasting. Extremely greasy. Normal cheese pizza had an extreme quantity of cheese. Heavy.

Called our place of business, said they like to come by to hand out some free pizza. Can't say no to that! While free pizza is great, the quality of it was pretty superb too. Definitely will check them out more, always happy to support a business that gives to the community.

It’s no secret Columbus has some great pizza places. I’m on a quest to try as many as I can, so tonight I decided to try a new one. I got mine through Uber Eats but given great word of mouth I’ve seen online I knew I was in for something good. When I try a new place I try a regular cheese to see how they do the basics and with how awesome this was I plan on trying out the specialties for sure next time. The cinnamon knots were good but a bit dry. I wish they had more cinnamon on them but otherwise I enjoyed them. My only issue is the pie had some places it wasn’t decked right and half a slice would have a huge bubble. I wish the price weren’t so steep either but it’s for sure going on a regular rotation!
