Their brick and mortar location is shut down. If you look in the window of the address given for Billingsley Rd there is nothing in there except ladders, trash cans, and debris. Total bummer as we drove up there at the crack of dawn as listed when they were listed as open via Yelp and Google and the only thing there was tumbleweed and there was no way in hell I was driving around any further on a wild goose hunt around central Ohio looking for their food truck when Krispy Kreme is right around the corner. So much for trying to support local business who can't get their hours of operation or location status correct!

They said that they are open until 11AM on Sunday morning. We placed an online order - paid for it online - was there a minute before 11am and the door was locked. (I have a pic of the front door with a time stamp) There was a donut box on a table inside the door that I assume was our order. We knocked on the door because we could see that the light was still on in the back - no answer. We tried to call them and on the answering machine they blatantly say that they don’t answer the phone and that they rarely to never check their voicemail. After deciding to leave a VM anyway, their mailbox was full. Wow! It doesn’t matter how good something is if you treat your customers like crap. Will get yummy and delicious donuts somewhere else, there are plenty of great donut places around town.

I genuinely feel bad giving these folks a 2 star review because their vibe, and their cute little food truck are both adorable. But.... if the food isn't great, I have to be honest. The Tupelo Honey Old Fashioned doughnut that the employee recommended seemed more like a stale bagel with sweet honey on it. Tough. Hard. Chewy. Very disappointing after all of the hype. The Salted Chocolate was fairly good though. Sorry guys, we won't be returning.

The brown butter hazelnut doughnut is the best thing ever

Tupelo has been on my radar for a few months thanks to its recent collaborations with Hot Chicken Takeover and Land Grant Brewing. I finally went to the source, a small hub near Sawmill and 270, to try just *their* baked goods. It was worth the trip. I had a cinnamon roll which was large and gooey. Really good! The cinnamon roll coupled with a Brownbutter Hazelnut Old-Fashioned, which was also a solid choice, was a perfect pick-me-up for a Friday morning in Dublin.

So happy Yelp introduced me to this awesome business! They are a small location but the donuts pack big flavor! The violet donut is absolutely amazing and crave-worthy! The rose water almond was great as well. Plenty of parking. They are only open on the weekends it seems so make sure to plan your visit!

Placed a pick up order and when I showed up they had no idea what I was talking about and didn't have any of the donuts for the order. Ended up getting whatever I could. One of the donuts was completely doughy and uncooked halfway through and the other had weird herb bits that were definitely not supposed to be in there. I would recommend going literally anywhere else.

Friendly staff and amazingly delicious doughnuts! The blueberry crumble are my favorite.

Don't come here thinking that you are going to get some dunkin type doughnuts here. These are some of the most boule-ish doughnuts in the history of doughnuts. The price definitely validates the claim. These are artisan doughnuts for sure. I really enjoy when I'm able to acquire the doughnuts from the Tupelo trucks whenever they are around the city. My go to and all time favorite doughnut here is the rose water almond doughnut. I didn't think that this would be my favorite when I heard the name of it. It sounded too fancy for my tastebuds. I mean rose water, come on, how is that going to be work with almonds on a doughnut? I was shocked that it did.

We stopped in to Tupelo's walk-in location and picked up a delicious cinnamon roll. The cream cheese icing was abundant. The amount of cinnamon in the roll was unrivaled. I think that this location works best as an "order ahead and carry out" style rather than walk-in. It's not a typical retail experience, where you can walk in and drool over the amazing options before deciding what to buy.

I like a good donut every now and then. No, I'm not as drawn to donuts as I am, say, a hot gooey chocolate chip cookie, brownie or carrot cake, but don't get me wrong, I'm not a total sweets snob. I tried a few of Tupelo's donuts, and by far their Rosewater & Roasted Almond Glazed is my absolute favorite. Lite on the flavors, not an overindulgence of toppings, just the toasted almond slices. Not heavy on the tongue, just perfect. A can't give the same general description for the other donuts I've tried. The Honey Old Fashioned was way too sweet for me, as well as their Violet Old Fashioned. I think the thing lacking for Tupelo the most is their dough - doesn't have much taste or merit on its own, which is of high importance to me personally. Oh, and I'm not sure if it's the norm, but my donuts were cool. I like warm, and it was easy to pop my Rosewater in the micro for 15 seconds, but I had to drive 35 minutes back home before I could partake in this delight, and, we'll, that's just pure torcher of the tastebuds!

Tupelo brick and mortar on Billingsley at Sawmill just north of 270 is a small store front with weekend early morning hours. Don't try to call them ever.. They say to follow them on Facebook and Instagram. I was not impressed. Sizes of a cake based "donut" is overboard making it unenjoyable. The cake donuts dried out way to quickly. I believe they attempt to use their flavor combos as a big draw. Not sure I found a flavor combo that was like, wow! They do have this very cute little donut truck parked on High Street in Clintonville just north of Henderson on the weekends as well. They sell out early. Strictly my opinion and I suggest you try them and see what you think.

Tupelo makes their doughnuts fresh daily which is nice. They have a limited amount they make and their hours are extremely limited. It makes it hard to get there to enjoy their doughnuts in time. I got a violet doughnut as part of a Yelp event. I sadly missed the pretty little violet flower on the one side and missed a beautiful photo opportunity. The doughnut itself was tasty enough. It was a bit dry at first but got better closer to the violet. I ordered some other doughnut flavors and they were all dry. I had to throw away the crème brulee one because it was too dry.

Awkward start to my monday morning. I bought the old fashioned honey doughnut at tupelo yesterday to have for bfast this morning. Uh... the donut was delicious until i found hair ... mid bite! Its a super fine long hair so im just scared that there might be more and i eat it without knowing. Im sure this has got to be a rare occurance and maybe im just having bad luck. However, still makes me wonder the safety measures taken and how the hair got in .... i will say i had their rosewater almond glaze yesterday and i really liked that one so im giving the two stars at least.. but i think ill stop eating the rest of this honey doughnut..
