Beautifully done. Wine pairing was spot on, the dishes were elegant and creative and service was too notch. Was it worth almost $400 for 2 people... I'm not totally convinced. I've had better food for less, so 4 stars because of value.

I would rate this an overall 3.5 stars. The food was actually the most disappointing part of the meal. Mostly because our server would not describe the dishes (I asked) because it's supposed to be some sort of culinary surprise? "Green - eggs - ham" = runny egg soup broth with croutons and nothing green and no visible/tasted ham. The main course was halibut, which looked amazing, but was dry and tough. My favorite part of the meal was actually the snacks from the first course. The drinks were great. My advice -- either give better descriptions on your menu or have your servers be prepared/not refuse to describe the dishes. Otherwise, I'd say skip this for someplace that's actually prepared to share what you might be in for.

I was kind of hoping for it to be an overpriced, overhyped place. It was absolutely worthy of the hype. Our night was absolutely wonderful - the service, the interesting but also delicious food, the cocktails.

We’ve been here twice now and this dining experience is Michelin star level. I assure you when Michelin comes to Ohio and tries this spot out it will get a star if not two! Very amazing job by everyone on the team. Always worth the 3 hour drive.

Their cooks let out an embarrassment of an "A5" steak be served. 60% gristle and not marbled whatsoever. Just a clump of fat from an overfed standard cow. Had I not been out celebrating a special occasion I would have sent it back. Outback steakhouse would have been an improvement.

Went a couple weeks ago for the American menu. Got the Tuna appetizer which was phenomenal, the French onion and both salads were middlingHowever, both the filet and the halibut were a little salty but not as horrendously salty as the sides of mushrooms, potatoes, spinach, and the sauce.I was really at a loss for words at the time and I'm not one to complain, however, I was reminded of this meal as I was about to go out for NYE dinner tonight.Just a heads up for the chef.

The good:All the drinks were very well madeBread service - the chella bread warm, fluffy, and light. The bone marrow butter enhaced this experience and overall very delicious.Caviar - this was presented nicely. The lightly salted crackers were a perfect vessel to get the full flavor of the caviar. The not so good:Tuna Tare tare- plating on this was very nice. It gave us two variations and two very different bites. On one side, it seemed that there were to slivers of pickled radishes that almost resemble a red onion in taste. Very over powering to the tuna and overall not a very present bite. The other was a egg yoke miso which was quite nice and paired well with the yellowfin.Halibut - the sauce was very nice, light and creamy and is a good with the halibut. However the fish it self seemed unevenly cooked. The side that was seared felt rubbery and not flaky. The disappointing:Caesar salad - served as a wedge style on a half head of gem lettuce looked appealing. However the addition of the base of the head made for very tough and bitter bites. I feel that the dressing had far too much garlic in it and at the end of my salad I was in need of a good palet cleanser.Filet Mignon - this was by far the most disappointing thing. It was accompanied by two different sauses, but on the side. This left the plating was extremely boring with just a 7oz steak on the plate. The steak was over tenderized and under seasoned. There was no crust whatsoever. While the sauses were good I would have loved to been given what the chef wanted me to taste and not have a choose your own adventure.Overall I'm left a bit confused as to how to feel. This resturant has quite the reputation and we just did not have the experience that others seemed to have. Perhaps this just wasn't the menu for my wife and I. Later in the night I was hit with a light case of food poisoning as something I ate just didn't agree with my body.

We went for the Japan Supper Club, it was amazing. Favorites of the night were chawanmushi, the steam tofu and the king crab which had the creamiest soup.

Shoutout to this establishment for exceptional service, atmosphere, and hospitality. Visiting several times in the past, we find the menu unique in both food and drinks. It's small, shareable plates that are perfect for 2 people. The portions served give each person the opportunity to grab a little taste of everything being just the right amount. There is always something to choose from on their regular menu for anyone and everyone. Depending on the time of year/season, the chef will prepare a set menu that is planned out, which never disappointes. Recently visiting for a special occasion, my husbands birthday, we chose to celebrate at Veritas. Considering our prior great experiences, we were both excited. This particular night, the chef prepared a beautifully set Japanese menu. My husband was thrilled as soon as he saw it. However, due to dietary restrictions, sadly, I realized I wasn't able to join in and enjoy this menu. I resigned with the thought that my main course would end up being the water and tea, yet still surrounded by great company, celebrating a wonderful occasion. This was not the case at all! Our waiter, Mitch, realized that there were restrictions and quickly acted, taking it upon himself to collaborate with the chef on ways to accommodate us so that our special occasion wasn't affected. Boy, did they ever accommodate us creating an experience that was better than all prior experiences combined. Thank you, Veritas, for your flexibility and hospitality. Again, big shoutout and thank you to Mitch for your patience, understanding, and exceptional customer service. We will be back!!

Food and wine pairing was delicious! The waiter was very knowledgeable. Portions were as expected for a fine dining restaurant, but I was not hungry after 5 courses.

Easily the best dining experience I’ve ever had in Columbus. The service was exception with every detailed accounted for and the ambiance for the Japanese Super Club was elegant without being kitschy or pretentious. Now on to the food, every single dish was unique, delightful, and told a story of its own. I also got the beverage pairing and that was a fun journey all on its own. I highly recommend Vertias for any special occasion or if you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience.
