The miserable guy working the cash register should really not be in customer service. The food was mediocre, very skimpy on toppings. (We ordered 2 coneys)

Wow, how are people rating this place a 4 star coney shop. I can't believe this place is even open. Do you know how good a place needs to be to have a 4-5 rating? Local places like Brassica and Northstar have a 4-5 star rating. This place is easily the worst experience I've ever had in my life and all I was expecting was a good coney dog! Lol 2 The order taker guy was one of the most miserable humans I’ve ever come into contact with. The guy that took our order noticed we were sitting down to eat in and actually mouthed, “man I hate people.” I will say he really does seem like he hates people. Hahaha Like bro go do something else, serving subpar coneys in German Village is a bold move! Lol

Been going here for 20 years & I will not be back. They accused my husband of stealing a pop. I ordered 2 combos which include pops so that’s 2. I then ordered an additional pop for our child so that’s 3. The person that took my order misheard pop for tots so we paid for tots we did not order (or eat for that matter) & an additional pop. They did not apologize or admit to their mistake. Instead they were accusatory. We will NEVER step foot in there again. No family should be treated that way & especially when we’ve been going there for 20 years.
Also they have changed their fries & they are terrible.

It’s not really fair for me to judge the food because I’m a Detroit girl living in Columbus now. I’m used to Coney’s tasting a certain way but they’ve put their own spin on it which I’m not used to so I don’t think it’s fair for me to rate the food, however the customer service was superb!
I enjoyed sitting out in the sun enjoying my food! Will definitely go back and try other things!

As others have mentioned, the food is pretty good but the guy that takes the orders is just unpleasant. I'd go more often if it wasn't for his consistent attitude everytime I've visited from mumbling under his breath as you order, to scoffing if you ask for mustard packs to go (why have mustard packs if you get upset to supply them to customers upon request bud?)

Food was great. The guy making the food is awesome. Plus the old man was cool and going there for years, but like the other comments from the other guys, the guy that takes your order at the cash register is very short and rude. I know it’s a family business, but they need to rethink this. He acts like he does not want to be there at all.
Very average coneys. Meat seemed like a low-grade, mixed meat hot dog. Presentation was very basic, which is fine. The service, though, was below average. Service is the most important thing to me, so they are lucky to get 3 stars. I wouldn’t return here unless it was the only place around or I was starving.

It remains the best hot dog place in Columbus, but they also have so much more. They always have the best music and movies playing. Their mini meatball sub is one of my favorites. Great specials each day. Quick service.
Kid-friendliness: I've been bringing my daughter here since she was 4 or 5 years old, it has been more than 10 years and she still likes coming back--especially for their tator tots. Only warning, the indoor seating area is small and I don't recall ever seeing high chairs.

Kinda reminds me of the soup natzi from Seinfeld, great food, but wow very unfriendly. They would be five stars all day long with someone else at the register. Food was very good, highly recommend the food, just go in expecting a low bar on service.

I’m all for supporting small businesses, the guy taking my order was very short, rude and not welcoming at all. I asked was he having a good day because he would turn look down steer away and just never looked at me once to greet me. The guy cooking the food was cool. He noticed his partners energy towards me and tried to be as nice as he could. I ordered the jumbo beef frank coney which was actually decent but off the service alone I won’t return.

Guy taking order has a bates motel vibe. Never faced my direction a single time taking order. The guy making the food was cool though. These guys have high ratings though.. maybe I came on a off day.. the chili dogs are ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
