W.G. Grinders Catering - Upper Arlington

This place has such a charm to it. Not quite a hole in the wall, but perhaps adjacent. It’s not shiny. It’s not new. It’s not gentrified like all the new restaurants these days. It’s like a relic from the early 2000s. Everything from the dated decorations, the big fat and round box TV mounted into the wall, the hodgepodge of random cakes and salads in the reach in coolers, it just feels unlike anything I ever experience anymore.

It has a very special place in my heart.

Wow what a downfall. I used to love all wg grinders..but sadly this is the worst of the remaining locations. Might as well call this location a quickie mart that sells "knock off" original wg grinders. Soda machine doesn't work, a/c isn't working, smells like a smoked pack of cigarettes inside, and the side dishes are not authentic. Just do yourself a favor and visit one of the other remaining locations if you want true wg grinders. I'll leave it alone at this point, ya been warned. Sorry to all OG - W.G. Grinders lovers.

We used WG Grinders to cater our large graduation party. We ordered stromboli, penne pasta, salad and garlic bread and a meat and cheese tray. All of the food was delicious, aesthetic, and packaged to stay hot or cold. The staff was very helpful answering all questions and working with our large order. Everyone enjoyed the food and we enjoyed not having the stress on our party day. Would highly recommend and will use again.

Ordered catering for a Mother’s Day celebration! And everything was amazing! Food was ready and still warm when we arrived, the shop has a really nice old school pizza parlor vibe! Portions were really big so there was plenty of food to go around! I would definitely recommend!

I received the Groupon coupons for the ice cream! DO NOT GET THE ICE CREAM. It is old and outdated. Not worth the groupon price, let alone the original price. The containers were half filled from the ice cream being old and all melted together. The coffee one was disgusting, too. It was so melted and hard as a rock that you couldn't even get the plastic spoon out of them. We did not eat the other food.

I love grinders and I usually go to the one on west broad on my way home from work but today I was tired so I went home and ordered delivery and the Fishinger rd location was my only option. I ordered the same food I normally get at the west broad location which is a pulled pork grinder, cheddar Mac, Cole slaw, and a pickle. I tell you now that I will never order from this location again. The pork on the grinder was raw and had a lot of fat which made it inedible, the cheddar Mac was loaded with pepper that made it hard to eat, and the cole slaw tasted off as well. The only thing that tasted right was the pickle which was literally the only thing not prepared by the restaurant. I have literally never been so disappointed in a food order in my life. I’ve learned my lesson and will make sure I drive to the west broad location from now on.

My friend and i ordered 2 original Italian grinders. We assumed it came with sauce since this exact sandwich could be made anywhere else in the world without sauce, I chose this place for the SAUCE. Ruined my friends first grinder sandwich because it tasted bland and not pleasing in any way. Why? They say it doesn't come with it, but all the others do. Don't get it to go. You won't know you have an inedible item if you don't bite into it while you're there. It should come with a warning otherwise.

This place is horrible. I ordered a sub platter the bread was pail and the Italian subs didn't have all the fixing on the sandwiches. I asked the employee about it she just basically said not my problem, handed me raw onions and walked away. I will not eat at this location again. This place is not the original WG Grinders.
