This bar smells like Christmas and is the perfect balance of novelty without trying too hard.

The sweet potato habanero pierogi were amazing and I'm enjoying the chicken paprikash for lunch today. So delicious!

Really cool bar in German village. Parking can be a challenge but worth it. Staff and service make up for it. Many daily specials and appealing happy hour selection. A bit more pricey on the upper end cocktails but worth the splurge. Very nice kick back and relax bar.

Went here back in mid-2019. Hard to separate a review of Wunderbar from Pierogi Mountain since Pierogi Mountain is inside Wunderr bar, but I'll do my best. We came to eat and grab a beer, not out to go drinking. The crowd for that night was pretty spotty; a few groups of 3 or 4 people clustered around the few tables in the big room. Oddly, I drive past this location all the time and I never see more hmthan a handful of people inside. Not sure how they are managing to stay open. I hear other people say it's hopping, but I have personally never witnessed that; I just assumed it was going for the sleep neighborhood gathering spot vibe and it made its profit from the work sharing space above, but recently learned those are totally separate businesses. Despite that, the place had the volume on the projection screen pumped up to 11, and somehow when the OSU game was about to start, the volume cranked up to like a 15, lol. We actually had to get uup from the small table we were sitting at and go to the other side of the place (small strip behind the bar) just to be able to hear each other talk across the table. When we w ent to the bar to get drinks, there were 4 people sitting there that I assume were regulars because the bartender just kept chatting with them while we stood waiting. When I went back later to oder another drink, it was the same experience. Overall, it was a pretty "meh" great experience. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it wouldn't be a terrible bar, just kinda a bad to mediocre one. I'll leave a review for Pierogi Mountain separate, but that would be a 2-star also because the pierogi's were totally bland. The only saving grace there was the pork sausage sandwich which was really good. Unfortunately, when pierogi is in your name and that item isn't good, it's not a good thing.

Greg. The best. Makes the best mojitos. We asked about the lady art and he was able to tell us all about it. Also those earings, fire.

Came here for happy hour with co-workers on a Friday night and was pleasantly pleased! Love going to German village - very close to Children's (our workplace), usually good parking, and lovely to walk around. Parked right out front for happy hour, but glad we knew where the bar was - would easily be missed if you didn't have an idea! The space is much larger than meets the eye - many tables in the back room, which is perfect for a larger group. There were about 12 of us, and we had no issue all sitting together! HH deals are pretty great - $1 off beers and wines as well as $5 for some pretty fancy craft cocktails from 4-7PM. Love that it's 3 hours long! The beer list was pretty extensive, featuring a lot of local breweries, which is always a nice touch. My boyfriend and I both were pleased with the selections, and while we didn't try the cocktails, my co-workers were raving about the prices and the drinks themselves! With Pierogi Mountain right inside the bar, you can easily make a nice evening at Wunderbar. We stayed for about 2 hours, enjoying our drinks and the pierogies! I would certainly be back for HH with my co-workers again, and I definitely would love to try some of the specialty cocktails next time. Thanks for a fun night, Wunderbar!

Wow! Great homemade Eastern European fare in the original Max and Erma's location. You go up to the kitchen window ( Pierogi Mountain) to order food and then they bring it to your table. Full bar service ( Wunderbar-
